The first D&D session we had was pretty fun, but also a little disappointing. My sister-in-law is our DM (her first time DMing, too) and she really restricted what character races are available to play as, leaving us with human, high elf, half-elf, dwarf, or drow. I set up my character as a wood elf and then after we started playing, she realized she should have asked me but it was too late to change anything. I've created a second character (in case my druid dies), but I have a feeling she'll try to nix the tiefling. Oh man, the kitchen and the dining room are the worst looking rooms right now, so I really need to hunker down and get them tidy. The table is covered with crud because I've been trying to stop the cats from jumping up there, but I think now they're just interested in what's on the table facepalm Yeah, I think I also need to start making lists again, just write out some of the stuff I need to get done. I convinced myself today to get clothes put away and get some jewelry organized. And I also baked a beef pot pie this morning. Oooh...I could rename some of my pets as my SWTOR character names! Might give me an incentive to get a bit more creative with them and fill their TCs.

I've been going into the office every single day since the virus started, the office I was working in never closed. The new place will let me work from home sometimes once I've learned the job. Yes, new board for Sharkies. Wonder how long we get to throw snowballs, they just said end of winter but I didn't see a date.

Is she a permanent DM or do you all take turns? Awe poor kitties just want to see and play with everything! Have you googled ways to keep them off the table? A beef pot pie sounds good :) Yay! A good time to get creative and make some changes. It will at least give you something to do.

Ohhh, yeah my office never really closed either. We were closed to the public for a while though. It’s nice that the new job will let you work from home some once you’re trained. That’s definitely a perk! I wish I could do that myself. Unfortunately I have to use scanner machines that only function at work and I have to have access to the mail we get from the post office box.

Well the office I've been working in for years never closed to the public because it's a government office. The new one is mostly closed to the public but I'll still have to go in even working from home to check mail, scan, fax, etc. I don't really want to work from home though so I'll have to see what happens.

Somehow I've thrown 4,132 / 5,000. If I tried hard, I could make it to 5k. But then I just think there are still 45 thousand left after that and it's too daunting and offputting. What a terrible achievement lol

The snowball achievements do take a long time. I finally finished them like last year or the year before that, I think. I know they raised it because some people were throwing A LOT of them during that old snowman building contest (when this group first came together aww :)), but yeah the 50k achievement is a bit much lol. Good luck if you do decide to go for some of them at least!

Congrats on the achievement! I think I'm done with battling those for now too lol, there is so much of the same loot it was kind of funny watching the prices tank, but ah well I guess haha.

It really helped that we could buy the snowballs a lot easier for the event. They should have kept it that way. I think it would be a lot easier for people to get the ach. Buying the snowballs is probably the worst part.

A nice night relaxing with some good entertainment sounds like a good way to spend it, bud.

I spent my New Years at my parent's block of land camping. Spent the evening stargazing and singing along to good music, the night sleeping on the ground in a very uncomfortable tent, and the morning getting woken up by very loud kookaburras! Best New Years I've had in a long time.

On another note, how is everyone liking the new CW shop system? I'm looooving it but everything is far too tempting now. I bought this shirt because I couldn't resist it.

I know it has been suggested before, having a way to buy them in bulk. It would make the achievement much easier as you said, even if you still had to throw them manually you could just refresh on the throwing page a lot lol.

It seems like she will be our permanent DM. This first campaign is very restricted (we can only use what's in the player's handbook for our characters), but hopefully, later campaigns are less restrictive. I think the only way we would rotate DMs would be if we picked one-shot adventures to do with different characters. Yeah, which isn't a problem until they find something sharp or tear into a baggie of crackers. Supposedly, aluminum foil will keep them off because they don't like the shiny surface, but..uh...I think my cats are broken... The table is also right next to a window, so I think they are wanting to look out that even though the blinds are closed. The beef pot pie is yummy, though it is short on beef, the canned beef I bought was really fatty. I also made the brown gravy with beef broth instead of water this time, and the gravy really thickened up and smelled amazing. I've got story ideas for some of my pets, but I just never really went any further with it because I was nervous about putting it on the page, but maybe that can be something I work on this year to make my pets extra special.

Her name is Caraduin Larethain, she is a wood elf druid in the Circle of the Moon, who spent most of the first adventure as a cat. I've worked out the main parts of her backstory, but I'm still working on little details. She was exiled from a high elf port city when she was 20 and spent her time after that wandering the forests and surrounding areas. 5 years prior to the campaign starting, she rescued a wolf cub and it became her travel companion. They were traveling near a small village, when a paladin kills her wolf thinking it was a threat, Caraduin killed the paladin (she now hates paladins). She passes through a different village and hears a town crier announce news about a voyage to an unexplored island leaving from the city she was exiled from. She rushes there and sneaks onto the ship as a cat. We started our characters out at level 3, found out why later when we fought an aboleth. I stayed as a cat for a long time then finally came out and waylaid it with Moonbeam. Whenever my druid reaches level 4, I'm going to multiclass with warlock. It will be interesting to see how things continue in the campaign because my brother-in-law is playing a paladin, so he might not be too happy that I murdered one of his order/sect/etc. Your new year's sounds amazing! My main issue with the new CW system is that the shop pages randomly turn to a blank page while I'm scrolling and I have to refresh, then it happens again.

Wow, you got the 50K snowballs? Impressive. I'm only at 17500. I just don't have time to do nothing but buy & throw them 1 at a time. Whew. Same with the boppers, I only have some time when I get home from work at night. Lucky with this new job I can go back to coming home for lunch like I used to do. But this job also includes going out in the field to people's homes. I haven't started that part yet, still learning the office stuff. Anyway, looking forward to the new event/holiday. Anybody know what date the snowballs actually end?

Snowballs are on sale all Winter. With that, I would assume that snowballs stop being sold on or around the beginning of Spring = March 20th.

Yeah it was a nice quiet night :) Your night sounds great. The morning...not so much lol. If I am uncomfortable, I can not sleep at all. I would have been so cranky the next day. I love it too!
