Not sure that the answer to that is truly known, hopefully it won't be significant. Your Mom is in my prayers, somehow I do believe a little time difference will be OK. Hope you don't lose power.

I certainly hope so. Looks like it should all be good for going for her shot tomorrow. Only real concern will be driving home in the dark as things start to refreeze. Hopefully no where we have to drive will have that problem though.

I shoveled part of the driveway (nearly half) and cleared off my mom's car and ran it for a bit. The sun is out inbetween some clouds which is drying out where I shoveled. My back and hips are really hurting so I had to stop. My brother will finish the rest. He's doing some work first but hopefully he'll get most done before the sun goes away so it will get some time to dry out before the refreeze. Someone from the culdesac walked around with a snow blower so there is a clear area on the sidewalk. One less bit of ice to shovel which we are grateful for.

Happy Fat Tuesday! Hopefully your journey to and from the facility that will give her the second shot will be uneventful. Not sure if they salt the ice on the roads where you are but I hope so. Take something for the pain for your back and hips please. Nice of you to shovel part of the driveway to help as much as you can, seems that you and your brother make a great team. Glad you got some nice neighbors that helped by using their snow blower to some space cleared and less work remains.

Thought we were out of the woods tomorrow, but in the afternoon another snow and ice mix is supposed to come down. So much is shut down and has been...they have told people to stay off the road for 48 hours now. Schools are closed (more than normal) it's a mess...

Presently under a winter storm watch. With temps dropping to the 20ties and freezing rain on the horizon. Must be the cross country storm getting the best of people.

Hope y'all remain safe and warm. And it's more snow than ice. Snow is much easier to deal with. We are getting another round of snow tomorrow into Friday and again Monday. But Monday it will be starting to warm up so more a rain/snow mix with above freezing temps during the day all week (assuming it doesn't change) so hopefully that won't hang around. The snow/ice we have will take some time to melt.

Road out front looks pretty dry. They salted the heck out of it. Best thing about our little city (was a town when we moved here decades ago, now it's a city). They do good with the winter roads. Just hoping the city streets (main city, we're a suburb city) we need to drive on tonight for mom's vaccine appt are done as well. And the parking garage.

Good afternoon all (well it's afternoon here). Had a busy morning with an online meeting and this afternoon i decided to do nothing!!! Me time so couch potato and watching Outlander and Downton Abbey. Orderd pizza so making the most of it.

Snow and winterstorm are gone for now here...

They just told us on the news that age 65 and over can get the Covid-19 vaccine starting tomorrow. Since the two locations near me don't specify which vaccine they have I sent an email to our board of health asking how I can be sure that I get the Moderna and why. But I will keep checking daily as I am doubtful that I will get an answer from the BOH. Yesterday I had to change the batteries in my keyboard and many letters type wrong now - takes awhile to comment.

That sounds like the perfect way to spend an afternoon.

Hope you get the answers you want. Weird about the keyboard. Never used one that took batteries.

Last June I got a new wireless pc and keyboard and I keep trying stuff to help but no luck. Good luck getting your mom's second shot, hope all issues with the weather work out in your favor.

I should be grateful that it wasn't ice; but the ice is still underneath it all. Plus I moved down here to get away from this garbage! Two decades in it I was done, now it's here where it is supposed to be warm. :'(

yes it was.

Until 7pm as I felt sick and my shoulder kept hurting, been having shoulder pijn for a few days. Went to bed, slept till 1 am. Could not sleep anymore as of the pain and watched some tv. Went back to bed at 3 am and woke up again around 7:30am. Called the doc and he saw me this morning I have bursitis in my shoulder (had to look the word for English up). Doc thinks my work as a nurse is why I got it. So got meds and just need to keep moving my arm and if it gets worse or won’t go down then physical therapy. But let’s hope the meds work. Feeling a bit woozy now...

Mom got her shot. No problem. She was super stressed and started to hyperventilate a bit when we got there. But relaxed and got her shot. She realized in the middle of the night and reminded me this morning that yesterday was the anniversary of her father's death. He died on feb 17th in 1988 and it was also an Ash Wednesday. With everything going on it slipped both our minds but her heart remembered.

Outside is covered in snow again.

I had the shot to, only my arm where i had the shot hurt for 2 days other then that no other stuff. Glad your mom had hers to :) And your hearts rememberd him. We just got rid of all our snow, spring warmth this weekend. We are gomg from -15 degrees celcius last weekend to 1+18 degrees celcius this weekend.

That really stinks! Lol that's funny it gave you that word, that's a very old-fashioned word I'd hear my grandmother say.

So we didn't lose power but our fridge is broken. We don't have the money to get a new one and we can't get to the store to try to replace it.

My job has recently thrown a new task at me just as I was "starting" to get comfortable with what I had learned, I'm about to bang my head on a wall. :(

Don't know if you own or rent but if you rent it'd be the landlord's job to replace it in a timely manner. Comes a time when you need a major appliance that a charge card comes in handy, if only for an emergency. Be glad your job is tossing new duties, the more you know the more valuable you are and in time maybe a promotion with more money. It is also a sign of trust, they just waited until they knew you were comfortable.

Yes that is true but it's making my anxiety go through the roof, I'm having small panic attacks, things like that are hard for me. Trust me I am grateful to have a job but emotionally it's draining me especially with the food outside in the snow or the garage.

Anxiety is tough, thankfully you know you have it and can learn steps to keep it under control. Take everything one step at a time an and feel good about any accomplishment. You're a smart lady and can grow into a position by learning and applying what you know. It's a downer having food in the snow but by God be grateful it happened in the winter!
