That's a fair point actually, I hadn't thought of it that way, the 5 second limit would make it challenging for a single user to keep Book Nook empty the way it has been. I've definitely seen the stock disappearing quickly following a restock but that probably isn't surprising since so few books are being restocked each time. So yes, I'm eating my words, it probably is a glitch, haha.

I thought there was something off about Book Nook. I was doing Library quests earlier today and out of the 10 books Alex asked for, only one was actually in stock (as opposed to the 6-8 I can usually get). Was about to just write it off as bad quest luck, but did a little poking around and found this topic. Now I'm pretty sure there's something still wrong.

With Library quests currently being the weekend quest, I'm afraid it's going to exacerbate whatever problem is going on with the restocks. Or at the very least, heavily drain the "increased" rewards.

I've been posting about Book Nook, but I wonder, if anybody has had time to delve into the renewed issue. I was forced to update my own post a few days later, since nobody else had posted. The problem with tiny restocks has been going on for quite a time now.

Also, the (high rarity) books in other shops are mega rare to not existent? also check their prices!!! There is at least one of which I'm convinced I never restocked/saw a single one of since it was introduced to site. All the copies I own came from prizes or REs. And I drop in at "restocked now" often enough.

Yeah I didn't want to say anything since I'm not that experienced at RSing but it does still seem broken, not only at Book Nook.

Spells Galore of course has a very limited amount of items to begin with, still normally shows more than 3 rows when functioning properly.

Apocalyptic Apothecary for unknown reasons with a few exceptions generally since the change holds very few items (1-3 rows). Only on very few occasions is it adequately filled with Elixirs.

Speaking of - the Pylonic issue STILL hasn't been addressed by staff (and it's been years! :-( )

Book Nook's stock has been so pathetic in the last few days I thought it had to be on purpose. And I have made most of my SP from restocking books so I'm rather annoyed with it, especially since I have a new pet, Ravage, and I'm having to pay through the nose for his reading material as well (and he's going to be a SAI director because the character he's based on is a spy! he needs books!)

Hello, I am the person who usually cleans out the Book Nook a few times a day and I have never in my life managed to produce this level of desertification :) Also, I don't take anything worth less than 5000 on the market, so if it was restockers like me, it'd be obvious from what was missing :)

Like others have mentioned before me, I also noticed this with the book nook, just now it restocked but only with 5 books lmao like no offence but that's a joke. Do we have any new updates? Last we heard anything that was back in June...

i was wondering too... as someone who values highly reading to all my pets, and having all of them have high intelligence, this is very disheartening and frustrating.

i dont rs much from other shops, but book nook was my favorite place. i want all my pets to be able to enjoy reading and me not having to pay insanely high prices for it.

I'm wondering if it's time related? I'm grinding my baking skill at the moment and trying to restock ingredients, and Food Market/Quick Bites often have very small restocks in the mornings for me (I'm in GMT) until around mid-morning when suddenly they restock a more normal amount.

Its based on "users Online" - so kinda? There will be less users during what is US night and more during US day.

Why is it getting even worse, when we post about it?

Book Nook restocks have been even smaller from morning till now (3 to 5 books?!?!), the shop is empty between restocks!

yeah it seems to be getting worse, Book Nook empty most of the time, The Sable Smithy 58 min to restock nothing, same w/ Seedlings and the apothecary :(

I do hope they fix the restock especially for book nook. I have 2 new pets I'm trying to read too, but last 3 days at this time... Barely anything or a restock of only 5 or so books?

edit- I apologize if I'm coming off too sharp here, Keith. But Subeta Soon™ can mean weeks to months down the road, while we probably have a ton of pets people have renewed interest in thanks to the name change, and that interest likely include reading for aesthetics and function. This is going to make things go sideways in what are probably unintended ways and make people unhappy and uncomfortable when they shouldn't be. These are supposed to be cheap and readily available, not a scarce resource.

I sure hope this is going to get fixed before the Quest-a-thon starts or Library Quests in particular are going to be painful. I've been noticing diminishing quantities of other random items available in user shops during my questing lately too so I'm a little concerned it could all get messy if NPC shop restocks aren't rebalanced soon.

Any chance the book nook issue could be looked into before quest-a-Thon starts?
