One of the problems with the restocking is that much fewer rare items show up after a Restocked Now! on the bottom of the pages. With almost every immediate Restock there were usually a couple of rarities in there and there's been a distinct shortage of any, even the ordinary 'Rare' items. There are also less Common items after Restocked Now! as well.

So not sure what's going on with the algorithm but something is hinky. (I restock a lot, so I notice these silly things, lol.)

Official staff posts show up with a red bar on the forums, so that's how you can tell :)

Any ideas on when this may be fixed?

It's frustrating, I restock a lot normally but haven't been able to do much the past few days as like others have said it takes so long between restocks and then there isn't any good items to buy. Just the same stuff over and over. Also makes questing a lot more expensive as a lot of the time now the items asked for are not in the shops and you have to pay more from user shops. Is this going to be the new norm ?

If anyone wants a change of venue to vent until it's fixed, my thread in Restocking under Bragging and Complaining might fit the bill. I'd love to chat with other restockers anyway. :D

I think this is happening again.

For instance, The Bake Stop only has 6 (unique) items in right now and is usually well stocked. It's the same with some other shops too.

Spells Galore, Defense, The Food Shop and a couple of others are not where they should be in terms of items, but restock times have improved.

I thought it was because people were farming those items, 'cause of the new recipes ! xD Restocking times have improved, some items are back like butters and flours. But I haven't seen salt in the food market for more than a week.

Edit : salt back ! But now where's the sugar ? xD

Just an FYI that restocking times seem to continue at longer than normal. I'm seeing between 10 and 13 minutes, usually around 11 min between restocks. Rare items stock more in some shops than others and I notice that after the shops are cleared it take a long time for them to fully stock up again. I don't know, maybe I'm just coming in at the wrong times or something. (Middle of the night for me, 2 hours behind Subeta time) Just thought I would let someone know about this. Thank you :)

Book Nook - I've only seen "small" restocks in it today since morning!

Aug.10th Book Nook and Spells Galore had only small restocks in the morning, now 4.45 p.m. they are hardly restocking anything at all.

I am trying to do library quests today and the book nook is always completely empty, even caught it once or twice when it said 'restocked now!' and still...not a thing in the shop. Seems to be a pretty big glitch with that one.

Not only is the book nook completely empty, but even when it asked for books in other shops, like the loneliest garden or seashell collecting, they weren't in stock either.

Ridiculous!

Book Nook has been this way for a few days and at first I thought it was a glitch too, but I actually think someone might be buying it out repeatedly? I've watched the books selling out within seconds of a restock multiple times over the last couple of days, one by one, and there's a new (I think) user shop out there which has high numbers of all Book Nook's usual stock. That might explain why books are selling out in other stores too, this person might be snaffling up the books everywhere.

This is just a suspicion though, it very well could be a glitch! If it is the work of one user, I have to tip my hat to them for their dedication though, haha.

I once tried emptying a shop. With the 5 sec. limit and the number of restocks I simply couldn't keep up. Even if someone is constantly buying and hoarding books, if the shop is restocking at a normal level, its simply not possible. There would have to be a consortium doing it.
