My house's decor is a jumble waiting to be cleared for a minimalist style, sequel to the unfortunate events of the death in my family. My own room is a ring arrangement, all the furniture and decorations are placed around the walls, with a open space for multiple uses.
Thank you for your concern, we're still waiting for our turn to make the last rites. There is a high level of deaths related to the outbreak, keeping all in a queue for services.
One thing I did was make a memorial pet Moti la Chivera Which I want to someday elaborate to properly fit her personality.
Little goals are the only thing that work for me, at any rate~ It just feels better having smaller, clearly attainable milestones throughout the year that I can celebrate than a nebulous, vague, big goal that can frequently feel unattainable. Yes, finding good patterns is a right pain! I have a huge problem finding ones I can meet gauge on as I crochet VERY tightly and have to move up two hook sizes or more to actually meet a pattern's gauge usually, and even then usually one dimension is slightly off and I have to just make do and hope for the best. I'm ecstatic about the stuff I can get digitally from my library, though; they have dozens of digital issues of crafting magazines, so I won't be hurting for ideas any time soon, at the least! Oh, ha~ Sorry, I frequently forget that not everyone is familiar with creatures from the Final Fantasy franchise! I'm planning to use the more iconic cat-like version (I think the best way to describe them is "tailless squirrel"), though there are other moogle versions that look more like rabbits and rats/mice. (Final Fantasy isn't very consistent from one world to the next, each creator just kind of sets their own world stage and runs with it, I think, haha~)

my home is pretty messy but that's because my mom and i live together since i moved back home after college. my room itself is quite neat though, it's tidy. definitely trying to get rid of some things, though, and par down my clothing.
I've been thinking about how to reduce my clothes. lol it's getting to be way too much. i want to be minimal but i looooove clothes too much. I took some items to consign today and they didn't take much. i need to get rid of stuff! a capsule wardrobe sounds really fun though, is that what you're doing?
overall I'm trying to work on my happiness, it's been too long and I'm desperately in need of fixing this. The mini goals are for weight loss/being more active/eating better, paying off some debt and improving my work/life balance which I am trying to achieve by getting my CAPM/PMP and hopefully finding another job. :) I've got a ways to go but I am making progress on 2 of the 3 at least (weight and debt) so I'm happy about that.
As for my house decorating, it's all over the place lol I do tend to lean towards boho styles the most but (and this ties in to my goals) I change things up often. I'm not sure what the other styles are though.
I can only really decorate my own room since I'm living with my family again. I've been slowly buying some more decorative things after not being able to decorate on my own for years. I'm leaning more towards a clean, modern style. Lots of white with pops of colour, especially pink. :) It's sort of a Scandinavian vibe and I've got some cozy lights too.
I've only been here for a few months and most of my money was going towards rent, bills + Christmas gifts so I haven't got too many decorative thing yet. Slowly working on it but I'm enjoying what I have so far!

My personal answer: "Keep staying true to yourself but maybe try to cut back on being an impudent little brat every once in a while. It's for your own good." 😂 Other than that I wouldn't say much because I have to make the experiences myself and if I was guided in some sort of way I probably wouldn't be who I am today :)

I am so happy for you that it's been going in the right direction! I bet it must be really hard to stay focused on these goals and keep going but you are doing it! You can be really proud of yourself :)

Thank you!
Oh when are you supposed to move? And moving is crazy right? You start wondering how all that stuff fit in your place to begin with 😂

I didn't think of the possibility that the pandemic would also strain the funeral services to be more busy than maximum capacity. How horrible that you have to endure this even longer now.
The memorial pet is a really sweet idea. And your mom had a most beautiful name! If she can see this, I bet she would be really happy that you uphold her memory like that :)

That sounds cool! Which game consoles do you guys have?
Yeah no I'm sorry, I am really uneducated when it comes to games all together. I play Pokémon games but that is it. I never really had much input aside from the occasional mario kart game. So it's really just me living under a rock 😂

That sounds so cool! I bet your place looks awesomen! 😍

No, sadly not at all xD I started storing my clothes in boxes depending on the season because they don't all fit in my wardrobe anymore...I rarely buy clothes but I get lots of hand-me-downs from friends and family. Although I did get rid of a lot of old stuff only recently. I left some stuff at my parents' house when I moved out and now I figured since I didn't miss it in 3 years, I might as well give them to Goodwill. Kept a few pieces to recycle/mend though. I wish I was the type of person who can work a capsule wardrobe but much like you, I just love clothing too much to do that 😂

Welcome to this thread! :)
I think in this current situation it's completely normal to find computers everywhere to do some form of home office :) How is your family coping with online studies etc.?

Awww that sounds lovely! I adore the Scandinavian design aesthetic.
Oh I know... Christmas is always consuming lots of money :/ I hope you'll be able to treat yourself a little more on the future, you deserve it :)

Oh, of course there would be some advice I would tell myself, but not to 'child-me' but '20-21 year old me' :D
-I would also tell to myself to start to save up money for braces and my own place
And also: -"Do not stop horseriding for God's sake, just go elsewhere to learn and leave that unprofessional place behind!"
:D

Only really to 25 year old me... GO HOME.
I don't know when it's going to happen as of yet, I'm waiting on some stuff before I can start seriously looking at houses, I just know it WILL happen and we need to be ready. Love your HA!
- They miss the kids at school, of course, but they are coping quite well. One sits at the computer for the 6 hours of school, interacting with the teacher and her classmates. The other is getting frustrated. She feels she isn't getting enough work because the teacher has to give the other kids time to catch up. She spends her time reading and doing puzzles to pass her school day.
As for what I would tell my younger self.... Don't doubt yourself! Never doubt yourself because you'll forget who you are and what you're capable of doing. But then...Everything happens for a reason, even a moment of self doubt. :)
We have all the big ones from the NES to the PS4 (including the Sega consoles), barring the two latest Microsoft consoles! (We probably won't ever get those, the original Xbox and the 360 are the only ones really worth owning in our opinion.) We also have an Atari~ I mentioned wanting one only a couple of times and my beau brought it home to me as a gift one day. And all of our systems are in working condition! I think our next aim is a Colecovision system. Well, and a PS5 if they're ever in stock again. We had the money to get one at release, but all the retailers flubbed their preorders and we missed out. :c

What would I tell my younger self? Accept the help.
Sorry for not responding to your last couple pings on here, I kind of lost track of the conversation and honestly felt too lazy to find it again. But I'm here fresh?
Thanks :) It's a struggle, I'm not gonna lie. I work at a desk all day and I don't get up and move like I should. Though I have to admit, working remote is helping nicely with the debt part since I can cook every single one of my meals now. Also, this leads in nicely to today's question :) I'd definitely tell myself to do everything possible to stay active on a daily basis.
Aww thank you! :) I love yours too! Glitter + rainbows = ❤
Thank you ❤
Is there something you would tell your younger self if you could?
Oh oof, so many things! My younger self wouldn't listen, though. I guess I'd just tell them that they won't always be as anxious and depressed as they were then, that things actually will get better (since I'm obviously still around to tell them this) and to get the hell out of Dodge ASAP. Get treatment for everything, focus on school and get a job in a better place. Oh, and don't give up your dreams for anyone, even if you love them with all your heart at the time.
Take your treatment seriously, just because it takes time to feel any effect doesn't make it ineffective. I'd tell my 12 year old self after being diagnosed.
I'd tell my seven year old self to just let that slide. Words can hurt, but letting them hurt is even more damaging.
oh yeah, the hand me down struggle is real. I've been getting a TON of used clothes for free and its been making reducing my closet so difficult! they're all really nice clothes so I'm super torn on selling or donating. and then since i run a business selling clothes, that also doesn't help LOL.
we should challenge ourselves to do a capsule wardrobe and send each other daily pics. that would be cute haha.
q: always kicking my younger self, but i am relatively happy w/ the decisions i made. though i would have left my ex a lot sooner. :p
My house is ... interesting. What I'd tell my child self... "Enjoy it while you can kiddo. Keep doing the things you are. Go barefoot, drink out of the garden hose, climb trees, care for farm animals, and ride the neighbors brahma bull bareback on a dare. You'll be buying bottled water in less than half a century cause people are wrecking the world..." No, on second thought, I'd tell my teenage self to stop slacking off in school..., not that I'd have listened.
I have 7 pets overall : 1 leopard gecko, 2 sugar gliders and 4 red eared sliders. I didn't mean to have that many RES though. 2 of them were a gift to my colleague but they can't take care of it anymore and so I took their red eared sliders in too.
Hi!
I have 2 pets currently, both cats.
Notch is my boy, he's a 3 legged rescue. When we got him he had 4 legs but was hit by a car. The little guy not only managed to get home but managed to jump through a high window to get back to us. He never leaves my side.
Nubbs is a rescue Manx. She's been with us now for a few years and is just starting to settle properly. She's a lovely cat though is much more timid than Notch. She prefers the quiet and to sit with you on her terms.

My personal answer: Sooooo guess who watched Miss Congeniality again after what feels like a billion years? And I realized that what we are doing here is kind of like the question part in pageants which is why I will go through the most common pageant questions with you guys in the upcoming days (if they are not referring to the pageant itself, of course). We actually already covered a few of the typical pageant questions in the past. But to start things off, I just had to use this iconic question from the movie.
I will reply to you guys soon, just had to roll this one out first. <3
My actual answer: My perfect date would probably be to go scuba diving together first and then spend the rest of the day at a beautiful beach, talking and picnicking :) Living in a place where there is currently snow here, you can imagine this isn't really an option here... 😂
