Hmmmm the last thing to make me happy...I'm happy to be in spot where I can help and support others to spite life being difficult right now with the virus. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed this morning with the long list of to do's, but will try my best to make it through the day.

q: getting to spend time with the person I'm seeing makes me happy. we don't get to see much of each other, especially now. also, earlier this month, i got to pet puppies. the youngest one was teething and chewed on my hands and baby puppy teeth melt my heart. ;_;

My personal answer:
There are many people who I look up to but I think mostly people who are trying to make the world a better place without sacrificing lives. Mahatma Gandhi was one of them for example, but there are many more.

Who do you look up to?
This might sound a bit soppy at times but: my Boyfriend.
He's been through a lot in life and still has a really gentle heart. He literally wouldn't even hurt a fly, he'd rather catch them and set them back outside. He still smiles to everyone he meets, and even offers advise to those around him who ask for it - although if he does see someone truly struggling he will go out of his way to help them.
He's also given up smoking without any help from anyone, and although I wasn't in his life when he was smoking, to know that he had the sheer willpower and determination to give up? That's truly something.
He also is extremely patient, especially when it comes to me. I have depression and anxiety - and sadly it can spiral quite heavily at times. I tend to say very, very dark stuff and be extremely negative towards myself - yet he stays with me, he never abandons me when I'm in a really bad state and helps me get out of it - often with his terrible puns and "dad" jokes.
So yeah, I look up to him a lot and sorta hope that someday I can be a little like him. :)

My mom.
She has been battling cancer for 2 years with a smile on her face. Right now there are no more treatment options left for her and she is really sick, so we are just enjoying the moments we have left with her.

I'm so sorry for disappearing in the past few days! I wasn't really coming online other than to get the Bathhouse. :c I'm not exactly sure why I preferred to stay quiet, to be honest. I think one reason might be me not being in a good mood most of the time and not wanting to show it. Being social online takes me a lot of effort because I feel I have to do my best to hide that I'm not doing well and instead try to sound as fun to be around as possible. Another reason is how I have lost confidence about my English for no reason. English is not my first language and I never really struggled with that, but in the past 2 or so years I have been more worried about making mistakes and failing to explain what I what to say than ever.
To make up for my absence I'm answering the questions I missed.
Do you prefer daytime or nighttime? Daytime. Years ago I used to prefer nighttime but during a part of my life I would get the worst anxiety when the night comes. I don't get that anxiety anymore, but I guess I don't really like the night because in the back of my head I get reminded of those times. I'd say my best time of the day is when the sun starts rising. My sleep schedule is really messed up anyway so I get to see it almost everyday (even though I'd prefer to wake up really early to see it rather than to stay up till morning, but I don't think that's even possible haha).
What is the last thing that made you happy? Happy? As depressing as that sounds and as much as I hate sounding depressing, I think I forgot what happy feels like ever since I started seeing my last psychiatrist. :c
Who do you look up to? I have really wanted (more like really needed) to have someone to look up to for years but I don't have anyone. In the past I used to lie to myself about looking up to people that I probably knew I actually didn't look up to. I don't do that anymore. It still feels really empty to not have anyone to look up to...

I have 2 regular love piercings since I was 7. I got my first helix piercing when I was 15 and my second one underneath when I was 16. So these two are my double helix (because both my parents are biologists) Then when I was 19, I got two conch piercings on my left ear. I got them on a trip to the US in LA on the walk of fame. Got them as a reference to my sister since she was born in California and we both have these conch shells we each found on our trip to Florida when we were like 6 and 10. And the last one is a daith Piercing I got last November in Vietnam. Just cause I like how it looks.
The only tattoo I'll (probably) ever get is a little sun. It's a reference to my granny who used to call me "little sun" in German and a reference to Ibiza where I used to spend all summers when I was a kid (the actual design comes from a stamp we bought there when I was a kid) and of course to life, warmth, happiness and to remind me to carpe Diem every single day.
Haven't had the chance to get that tattoo yet even though I've been wanting to get it for years xD

That is beautiful! He can be so proud of himself! To pull oneself out of hardships, surviving is already amazing but to thrive and be there for others and have a positive attitude towards life and opportunities takes someone beyond special!
I am so glad you can see and appreciate what you have in him but the same goes for him. Even though you maybe can't always see the value in your life, he does. So if you would like to be a little bit more like him, try to see and understand you through his eyes and maybe it will help you see that you, too, must be an amazing person and that you are cherished and loved for who you are <3

Subeta in general is a very incisive space. Many of us struggle with depression, anxiety and other mental health issues and that is completely normal. If you are feeling bad, talk to us, we are here for you <3 When it comes to your English, everyone makes mistakes. Here in this thread alone there are already 4 people who live/come from Germany. I will be the last to judge. Aside from that, even if English was your first language, high education is not accessible for everyone and judging would be way to cruel if one keeps that in mind. And lastly, sooooooo many people are dyslexic which again is something completely normal. Therefore, I hope I was able to take some weight off of your shoulders <3
I hope one day, you will find someone you truly look up to and best case scenario would be if it was yourself :)

Do you have any body modifications?
I have one piercing in each ear lobe, so the typical standard piercings shall we say? I'd love to get a butterfly & semi-colon tattooo on my left wrist. The meanings behind those two things mean a great deal to me, so I really hope to get it done one day.... although I have a very low tolerance for pain!

Yeah he really is something special, even when I don't love myself at all he helps to snap me out of it, and whenever I do something that I play down with the whole "It's nothing special" etc, he tells me otherwise etc. Still amuses me that we met through a Minecraft Forum though haha!

Do you have any body modifications?
Nothing too extreme, just 3 piercings per ear (1 lobe, 2 cartilage), and one tattoo on my right wrist. At some point I plan on at least 1 more tattoo for my left wrist to mirror the right one, but idk if I'll do too much beyond that. I used to also have snake bite piercings, but I let those close up around 6 years ago.

Do you have any body modifications? I've got a tattoo of a flower that looks like a piece of stained glass on my right calf. (and a handful more that I want as soon as I can afford them) I've previously had lobe & upper lobe piercings but let them close up a few years ago. I've been debating on getting them re-pierced.

I took a "Staycation" this week and kept myself so busy I hadn't had the time to pop by for the Daily Questions. Felt good to get a lot of projects off my to-do list! Onwards to missed questions!
What is your favorite insect? Bees! They're just adorable fuzzballs of rage and I love them.
Who is your favorite actor? Alan Rickman and Jeremy Irons are probably my favorite actors. Reasons:

- Their ability to switch between playing characters I absolutely love to ones I just can't wait to see die.
What is your style like in real life? Jeans, t-shirts & flannel.... so basically I'm a Winchester.
What is your favourite anime/manga? Gah! This one's crazy hard! There are so many I love, so for this I'll go with my very first anime/manga love X. X has always had this special place in my heart as the absolute mess that is Kamui & Fuma kicked off my love for tragedies and apocalyptic literature. The fatalist atmosphere of the series is well balanced by the characters determination to exert control over their destiny and despite its lack of an ending, it's a good read and worth the watch.
What is your favourite quote? "If you ever find yourself in the wrong story, leave." - Mo Willems This particular quote sticks with me because for a long time I let myself stay in a part of my life where I wasn't happy, knew I wasn't happy, and felt like that was it, this is my life, the end. It took me a while to finally see that, nope, this does not have to be my life and that, yes, you can leave what doesn't make you happy.
Do you prefer daytime or nighttime? Nightime. I'm way more energized in the evenings and tend to get all of my best work done during those hours. Sunlight just makes me sleepy.
What is the last thing that made you happy? I recently just found a note that my dad wrote to me years ago. Seeing his handwriting after so long and remembering how much he loved me brought the happy tears and smile to my face.
Who do you look up to? Honestly, the only person I think I've ever actually looked up to in my life was my dad.

What is one of your earliest childhood memories?
My personal answer:
For me it's a simple one. Sitting on my great grandmother's lap on Christmas with my new horse plush toy I got as a Christmas present with the whole family around. (Fun fact: in Germany, you do the gift exchange on Christmas Eve) Couldn't have been older than 4 since she died when I was around that age.
