Especially if they don't have a momma and you gotta bottle feed them every few hours! But it's so rewarding to hear them tiny purrs, it just melts my heart ❤

We have two litters here this Spring, and the other litter had one baby that was abandoned for some reason right after birth. We found him on the patio, and took him in. He was so cold, and not sure if he would make it. We named him Cap'n Pat (short for Captain of the Patio). We kept him 24 hours, and he did great! The next day, I wondered if his mama would take him back, so when she came to the barn for food, I sat him down. Sure enough, she smelled him, licked him, looked up at me, and then picked him up and whisked him off! I was so scared she was just gonna kill him, or eat him. LOL So I am REALLY anxious to see if he is still in the litter. I have no doubt she will be bringing them all to the barn soon. That is the only place we put food and water out, and she is there daily, so we shall see!

I am so glad you are giving them a home! Maybe they'll have baby ducks!!! Hey, a gal can hope....hehheehe

Time will tell on that, my geese had hatched eggs a few years ago. Its a double edged sword that, either way has its problems and praises.
