You know, I'm a hugger... and this whole Covid thing has really got me upset that I can't just hug people right now! Yesterday a very good client came in and had to put his dog down. I wanted to hug him so bad :( I told him that too. Of course, we didn't, but UGH. I tell ya, when this whole thing blows over, I'm gonna hug everyone I see!!!

Short story long about the relationship between Weldon and my father.....
When Weldon finished his Watcher apprenticeship, he was still a lad and was assigned to Healer's Hall to protect my mother and father. Lady Sunflower was pregnant and suffering from very high blood pressure during the last two weeks and she needed to be confined until I was delivered. After delivery, the Master Healer brought the newborn to Weldon to take to the Nursery and that's when we first met. I don't remember it, I was too small.
After we all went home, Weldon was reassigned to guard me and my parents at our house and so Weldon offered to work for my father in his woodshop as a 'cover' during his mission. It was a good cover, Welly still looked like a young lad, being smaller than most of the rest of the males in our tribe. Weldon and Daddy hit it off immediately and My father loved and accepted Weldon like one of his own sons. To this day, Daddy considers Weldon his most trusted confidant, his most eager conspirator in his many little escapades (passing Daddy fresh cookies instead of carrot sticks, swiping an extra sandwich from the cafeteria, sneaking out into the orchard to swipe peaches, keeping Daddy well supplied with the best pipe weed...Weldon is complicit in Daddy's little rebellions and it makes Daddy feel empowered.)
It's not that Daddy and Mommy are at each other's throats, it's just that they have been together for so long, that they can predict each other's moods before they happen. They love each other more and more as they've grown older. They also get more and more irritated at each other over the little quirks that have developed between them over the years. Mommy calls this phenomena "Ever So Much More So."

work has been surreal. It's sometimes frustrating, sometimes stressful. We're not allowing clients into the building so we're constantly running in and out of the clinic. We're on the phone constantly talking to clients. It's just crazy. My hours have been cut, but to me, it's a blessing because of the stress at work. I need more downtime to recover. Making the masks is fun! I've collected fabric remnants over the years and have amassed an amazing collection. I originally collected for making quilts. I think I've made 2 quilts over the years? I know I have some cut up for a 3rd! LOL. Hubby says I could open my own fabric store... he exaggerates, but I get it. I have 2 full totes of useable fabric for masks. I also have another 3 or 4 totes full of other fabrics lol. I also had a stash of bias tape which makes for great ties! I prefer the ties because people complain about the elastic bands hurting their ears. I'm running low though and there's none in the stores. Facebook showed me an ad for making my own bias tape with these gadgets so I ordered it. Still waiting for it to come in though. Fingers crossed I'll get it before I run out! I had a slight hiccup on getting more fusible interfacing, but I'm good for now. phew sorry for the novel!
