Happy Saturday, all! I have to go pick up my grocery order this morning, and I'm going to use that as an excuse to stop at the bakery and splurge on a pastry. The gluten free bakery was deemed as an essential business, which is good because it's a small, locally owned one. She makes amazing scones and cinnamon roles and donuts, too -- things that are hard to find gluten free around here otherwise. I'll treat myself to a loaf of bread and enjoy PB&J this week!

Ok, I'm DEFINITELY going to try the dung challenge tomorrow! 😆 You're really lucky to know family history; mine has been mostly lost unfortunately. I have no idea if any of my great-relatives fought in WWI, though I'm sure they must have. I think my grandfather did in WWII, but it was never mentioned and he's long gone. I have a whole side of my family tree (my paternal grandfather) that is completely unknown; it's such a loss, especially for me since social history is my passion. Anyway, I said all that when I really intended to salute your brave bloodline! As for cattle -- I live in the country and have dairy farmers on three sides of me. I love to see the cows -- especially the young ones! (Veal is a big no for me!)

It is frustrating about the sharing of photos. I have a blog, and I upload my photos there, and use that link, so it's easier for me than some others. If you do decide to do Instagram photos, you can always just share the link and we can go look. I'd love to see your animals!

I redid my Office assignment, and finished in under an hour. So I'll turn it in and move on. Today Is for correcting my automotive.

Day 18 a Bathhouse token, spend'em.

I've been needle felting for several years. I've sold a couple of things here and there but I mostly do it for me, friends and family.

This ice dragon took me a year and a half to complete. It's been through a tail lengthening, and front leg amputation to lengthen those lol. The horns, claws, scales and teeth are polymer clay dipped in resin and glitter. The 'skin' is wet felted and needle felted in place. The wings and underbelly are fabric. Inside is a wire armature so it's posable. I used over 3lbs (7kg) of wool! It's by far the largest thing I've ever made(which is why I chose to be in the pic to give you an idea of how large it is). My other creations are normally MUCH smaller!! I had every intention of selling it, but I feel like I poured so much of my heart and soul into it that I just can't bear to part ways. I haven't even named the creature! (so if you think of one, feel free to suggest lol.

All the classwork is online, but for automotive the hands on is suspended. Besides, I don't have any of the equipment for lab work. I recall from an email that lab assignments had been called off. After the semester ends, I'll speak with a counselor about the next steps.

No dear, not fire. Just weird, hot winds full of allergy nightmare content. We have a LOT of dry dry weeds but no trees that would burn. The side, just past the street that was in the photo, caught fire some years ago and burned and was out really fast. Still scary, we have the only wooden house around here!

Funny, a question on a Shop assignment asks what 255 is in binary. the correct answer is 1111 1111. Yet it counts it as wrong. Oh, well. I corrected what I could, and some don't have explicitly worded answers in the texts to make the user formulate them, Hence the "challenge" aspect.

In forty minutes I'll go outside to change oil and do some outdoor chores while the sun is going lower.
