Happy birthday, ! :)

Thank you Ashley. :)
. . . Someone told me I have two faults. I don't listen and . . . some other stuff they were rattling on about.
I believe you can run Subeta in Linux. At least I used to a long time ago. I had a stroke back in 2009, and Linux was one of the things I forgot. LOL I do know that I ran Subeta tho, because that is all I used back then.
- that is interesting about Apple. I don't care for it myself, as I would rather use Android- open source, more customizable, cheaper, and does everything iOS does, without being pretentious. That's just my opinion tho. lol
I hope you guys are well. I've been checking here more regularly, but just haven't had anything to contribute. Anything good going on for y'all?
Nothing exciting going on with me other than my addiction to Indian Cinema has expanded from Hindi films to Telugu ones now. 😆 Amazon just keeps adding more and more Indian Cinema to the Prime movie library - - I'll never get them all watched!
Surprise! You also get this old trick or treat item:
RedBubble is a site where independent artists can sell their work on stickers, tees, notebooks, etc. He's not an artist, but makes some basic graphics to be able to buy the sticker for himself. They have the best (removable) stickers anywhere. I have them on my car, water bottles, notebooks, and other household items, and my laptop is completely covered with them. :)
Hey gal! Just began a new book I've been waiting to read. Hope it is as good as her others. :D
Who is it? I'm in the middle of a fantasy that's really good when I'm reading it, but it hasn't been calling me back in between, so it's taking me forever. I've got a stack waiting their turns, so I feel that pressure, too! If it wasn't such a good book and my favorite fantasy series, I'd have given it up to come back later. (It's Steven Brust's "Vlad Taltos" series, which is who my main pet is named after.)
Oh cool! I like how you named your pet! :D This book is The Lake House, by Kate Morton. I really loved her book, The Forgotten Garden, and am hoping this one is like her others. I do love her style.
Next... Renegade AI, HAL-9000 started this when given conflicting orders, Skynet eventually became its enemy, and the Matrix is just a leech.
It'll be interesting to see what this system does.
That song would not have a calming affect on me. I agree with you about apple. I actually have a macbook, so when my windows 7 stops working (they have been announcing they will stop servicing after December this year) then I will probably set up my laptop where my pc is. The only thing I like better on my pc is the mouse and how I can get quests done faster. Which I have tapered off since the big race to do them all a few weeks ago.
Wrote yesterday "Laughter is Good =D " (the ping didn't work)
They live in Ravenna, but it's the same temp as Cleveland. I don't know how or if that area is affected. Some people in America are not feeling the crunch? It's every where here. And they are testing EVERYONE who wants now, so the positive testers seem really high for such a tiny place.
Apple doesn't feel pretentious to me, but if you mean pricey, yes. It is. I love it. all the programs make so much more sense. I help a number of people with their phones and computer programs and so many are really hard to figure out. I loved when I upgraded my phone the transfer was done automatically. Even which special ring I had saved for which contact.
You sticker your car??? I do too! How do they hold up? Mine are all heat abused and peel off and look burnt. Intense sun here most of the year. I just opened the site and will go look. I hope they ship to Israel! Thanks! You are so lucky you have something you can enjoy on TV. There is very little that interests me, and almost NOTHING I can watch with dh. I do miss watching Dr Who but i stopped when i had no one to watch with anymore.
Happy Birthday! Your HA is gorgeous! I saw a trailer for October 22 a new Witches movie is coming out. It's that season already??? I am still waiting for masquerade 2020....
Spendy, yes. And I just felt like it was their way, or not at all. I just feel more freedom with Android. I have heard iPhone called a "walled garden." I suppose once you get used to it, it is a nice garden, but I prefer the freedom of Android. With Apple, I felt just like I do with Windows - trapped.
Day 58
Not much time to do my assignments, read three chapters and review questions. Best I get started.
I can understand that, some romantic songs enrage me. Bunch of lies to me.
I agree. I never thought it enraged me to hear them, but that's EXACTLY the way I feel. Enraged. And ultimately, very very sad. I only listen to "religious" music.
Some of my kids also prefer the android, that are all "jailbreak-ed" ( they don't even use that term anymore!) so I understand. I don't add apps often. I tried a few recently. Today I had to delete one that I saw I was spending $$$$ a LOT of $$$$ and I caught myself and deleted it. Phew!
That's why I prefer intrumental songs to any empty lyrics.
Half an hour to rest me eyes, and prep for tomorrow's shop.
Those stickers hold up really well -- they are waterproof and have lasted through two years on my car. Plus they are restickable, so they come right off when it's time to change them out!
I really liked the Forgotten Garden, too! I tried the Clockmaker's Daughter and it didn't click for me but I will definitely try others by her, and retry that one at a different time when my mood is different.
A cold November rain HA is in my sights, something along a solitary firgure standing radio red mad.
Thank you. Yes, time is whooshing by
. . . Someone told me I have two faults. I don't listen and . . . some other stuff they were rattling on about.
Clockmaker's Daughter is the next on my list. It was on hold in the elibrary, or I would be reading it now. So far so good on The Lake House. I have been eyeballing "Along The Infinite Sea", by Beatriz Williams. Will see if it is available, and go from there. I did enjoy the first two in this series, so might give it a go. :)
is a fine addition to Captura's treasure. Shoes to stomp...
I read the Forgotten Garden, but didn't remember until I just reread the synopsis. It was lovely if I recall correctly. I do have a problem with certain elements that usually appear in books (or else who would read them? But it's like tv, after a while, I would rather nothing than bringing those same elements into my thoughts. That's why I end up reading junk. No content, no spirit growth out of tragedy... I have become a wimp LOL I just finished The Bonesetter's Daughter. Also a journey through the past. Interesting.... re: Redbutton I found a lot of stickers I liked. :)
How come radio red mad? Nice catch!
I usually read what's free, and they are often not written well or edited but I have discovered Catherine Hyde Ryan books. Captivating! My husband brings books home from the bus stops when he sees them :D
