Hi guys! Hope you are having a good weekend!
I had time for a few quests today. Major Drills gave me: and an item from my wishlist:
Didn't get anything good from Carl, though. :(
NIIIIIICE!!! Sweet ol' Major....gettin' soft during Hauliday....lol
Been busy today, and just finally got online! :O Big hugs to you!!!
Depsite ten years, no movement, and in standing water a day or two. This old Mazda engine didn't show much damage when I opened it up. Ha! I was able to turn the crankshaft without much effort. I still don't know enough to determine whether its salvageable.
My friend also invited me to make some rounds on his Lamborghini while he has time off. I think he wants to let me take the old Fiero V6 and take a similar approach. What parts he has coming in must be of importance, asking me to come in.
Ohhhhh!!! That sounds like fun with a capital F! ooooooWEEEEE! :O

Day 48 a Bathhouse token
My time back. If I find out its been sabotaged first.
[edit] We spent several hours cleaning and rebuilding the engine. It seems my friend hadn't kept good notes about part arrangement. The good news is the mounting brackets are correctly placed, and he was able to remove the torque converter. We still need some answers about some parts we can't quite find their location on the engine block. But with two major obstacles dealt with, reinstalling the engine is doable within three days.
We used to do this for an entire summer a few years ago. And so many weekends since. Everybody's changing, but I don't feel any different.
Sounds like a nice time rebuilding that engine! Does it have to be done within three days?
Day 49
He wants to, his request for time off is limited to three days. He otherwise can't. We'll start today's work in an hour or so.
[edit] Day two, and a less than satisfactory outcome. He took the approach of reinstalling the engine sideways, by removing the torque converter off thhe transmission. About sunset he referred to the manual, which sparked his memory. We can mate the engine with the transmission by first securing the engine block to the cradle, then turning the crankshaft from there to line up the points of the flywheel. Normally the entire cradle is removed from the chassis, and the disassembly could be done without obstacles like cramped spaces.
I sure hope y'all can get it done in 3 days! You talked about part arrangement. John, aka, the hubs, uses a piece of large cardboard, and attaches each part in turn to that piece. Helps him keep things in place, and doesn't have to remember where they go. He can also take notes on the cardboard, if need be. One day I walked into his shop, and knocked the thing off the table. I gasped so loudly...lol But then, nothing had moved from the board. I was like, whhhaaat? LOL I was glad for his system on that day, let me tell ya!
Day 50 30 CSC
@ NoCuteNameForMe Fortunately this job didn't require that level of organization. I observed though he hadn't labeled all the sets of nuts and bolts. A good deal of trial and error was in order. I think today we should habe the engine installed, followed by some major clean up.
[edit]After eight hours of sweaty, dirty, and frustrating toil. We managed to install the engine and connect the torque converter. This would have been easier had my friend remembered that this engine needs the distributor attached to allow the crankshaft to turn a full rotation. That was the easy part...
His last day off is to reassemble the rest, maybe reset the timing. We will have to also clean up after ourselves, lots of fluid drippings and refuse.
All I havr for today is finish my reading, and written portion of my homework.
Hi guys! I had time to quest some today. The Major's best item was [item2=Goldish Tapestry Needle]
but Carl has been so good to me the past couple of days: [item2=Ocean Navigation] [item2=Sea-Farin Activities: Subeku] [item2=Merbaby Harley Plushie] [item2=Staunchly Disputed Contract] And the best (which I have wanted for a while) [item2=Map to a Hidden Cove]
Sounds like a long eight hours! Hope it all wraps up smoothly!
We have today to do as much as possible, its his last day off.
I got a few choice items from Carl too, has bee my favorite so far. I did also get from Freyalise.
Day 51 Another Bathhouse token.
Best of luck to you guys today! I'm sure you'll get it done! The Cephalos is a nice prize!
I finally got to 2 digits! Day 10 :) 20 csc Yay!
Cool Major Drill gift! I should play that more...
Hi! Nice to "see" you! Your HA is very pirate-spirited hehehe. Don't work too hard! Thank you for the Rosh Hashana greetings. It was lovely. I love being home with family (even though less were here because of the lockdown).
I like your HA. You are very talented. Thanks for sharing about your engine rebuilds. Fascinating!
How are you? Catching up here a bit?
How are you doing?
Is it getting cold over there? My in-laws are heading South soon. My hubby cannot believe they are making the trek again down to Florida.
How are you?
Are you back at school? Only special ed is open now, and that's where I am, so I am working. I like these kiddies. Staff is a different issue... hehehe Nah, they are ok. I am just trying for some comic relief.
Changes are hard, even though they are inevitable.
I'm good. How are you?

Thank you! Birthday present. :D

Thanks. :D

Full moon is coming, bringing the lunacy early.
Rest is a four letter word too. To me anyway...
[edit] We stopped today for two reasons. The alternator is puzzling to install, so we need to look into the correct process. And he needs to take care of family matters that do not require my presence. I can take the afternoon to finish my reading and online homework.
