I accidentally scratched one of those golden scratchcards, I hadn't noticed I had one unlocked in my inventory. I was rankled! (I have a hard time letting go of being rankling. Yeesh! Still working on that!) PS: I have that background and I have it saved with the mototrcycle too! Something about it just calls for that combo :D

lol I know! I just kept rifling through my backdrops ,and kept coming back to that one. I had a few things layered, and almost went with that, but you see which one won out....lol I am so sorry you have to be quarantined, and sure hope that you make it through without pulling all out all your hair. Sounds like you are at a cutoff point with your mama's phone. Did they say why you are unable to reactivate it?

They say it's an analog line, which is nonsense. It's something they tell the reps to say. The rep was very professional but had no heart. I am still working on it.

Day 119 a Bathhouse token.

: I got a text message from Mark and Frannie and they are both on the mend. She is up and walking, has been in the pool several times and her foot seems to have healed. She is going to seek physical therapy so that she can regain some strength in her legs and joints and increase mobility. Mark is also feeling much better, his recent illness has resolved and he is back to being the lovable curmudgeon he has always wished he could be when he grows up. Thank you for asking, I will pass along your love and concern.

I've also been feeling better and I've returned to Healer's Hall full time in preparation for our Annual Healer's Hall Summer Picnic out on the big lawn between the house and the orchard. There's going to be games, dancing, lots and lots of food, music, drink, treats, contests, and sleeping out under the stars. The favorite contests are the food contests; barbecue cook-off, pie judging, ice cream judging, and fruit-carving contest. Weldon is competing in the ice-cream contest again this year. He is planning to make fresh strawberry ice cream...so delicious! He's already won in my book!

I got some good news from my friend, he told me that in person attendance is low enough that parking won't require a pass. One less expense and more for books.

The cacti show enough fruit to start harvesting. It'll be two more weeks before I would make thale first batches of sorbet.

- Great news on the expense front! By the by.....how much sorbet do you get to make each season? I have only tasted it once, and it was better than expected. I kept thinking it would be bland and boring.

In my experience, it takes about 40- 50 pieces to make three quarts. I estimate at this point I could make a dozen such.

No, it is not bland. The rather strong aroma is very good indication of the equally strong flavor. I find it as refreshing as a lime popsicle. It'll be a treat how I want to serve it. I'm debating whether to make the ice cream from a mix, or buy my favorite.

I have eaten the prickly pear cactus fruit, and really enjoyed it. I could have eaten a lot of those! lol The sorbet I tried was made with another type of cactus, and that is what I thought would be bland. It looked different than the prickly pear.

I understand that, our cacti give purple fruit. I know the green ones are a very different taste, texture, and Im not sure how that would be made into any confection.

I tried my online subscription with Mario kart and Tetris 99. I think as long as I avoid tournaments, as there are plenty of lobbies to play for fun.

I sure wish I knew the cactus they used. It was not unpleasant, just definitely not as delectable as the Prickly Pear. :P

We had purple fruit on our cacti back when I was a kid. We didn't eat them though. Would have been nice if we knew that we could. My husband makes a sorbet out of frozen orange juice and a can of peaces, including the juice, blend in the blender & freeze. Eazy peazy. Interesting that you add ice-cream to yours. We made ice-cream in the winter back when we lived in Ohio, using the snow from outside (to freeze, not as an ingredient)

Trying to make an online album. The last on took me ages. I don't know why I thought this would e easier. I am going nuts looking for pictures I have SOMEWHERE from the months Sept 2019-January 2020 and can find them no where. Loosing my sanity. I have been at it for HOURS. I even forgot to post this, which I started about half a day ago!

My nephew, the little guy is restless and doesn't want to be with his grandmother. We think he misses his father enough to be more attached to me...

He tests my patience, by grabbing just about everything. Fortunately my junk is mostly rebuildable. Some are not so...I have a good ear though.

[Edit] I tried Tetris 99 again. None too bad for this round, I placed 3rd on my third attempt. I like seeing that my screen name is the only one in Russian. 😂
