I've been collecting in my wardrobe for over a decade, I have no idea what is in it. I'm in total shock.
The blank images in the purchase log don't represent missing items FWIW. Things I bought directly from a CW shop (or the cash shop) and Morty Cards are the only things that actually have item images showing. Everything else (pawn shop, bathhouse, CSC purchases, direct slots, trade offers) are blank images
echoing that, like many other users that have posted, i do not have a list keeping track of every item i own and have a massive wardrobe. knowing what i have lost will be close to impossible, and that's extremely upsetting.
something like this happening isn't acceptable...i understand mistakes & accidents happen, but this is really quite awful and CSC/sP do not solve what happened even remotely if these items are not recoverable. hopefully we hear some good news.
Anyone who says they can't create more copies of CWs? That's bullshit. They're code.
There is no reason they can't put the damn string of code back into your account.

I don't really comment on a lot of things that are site related, I try to just have fun with the site, but something like this I have to say something.
First off, make this a news post, not a forum topic. This needs to be seen by all the users on the site as soon as they come on since not everyone are members of certain forum groups.
# 1: We had a bug that deleted a swath of items from the wardrobe. There isn't a very good reason for this, except that it passed our automated tests This sounds more as an excuse to say 'oh well, another oopsie even with feedback of it not working' Don't mention options that will not be beneficial by ending it with 'wouldn't be very interesting' that makes no sense and isn't helpful.
# 2: Unfortunately, the data isn't recoverable from our backups. There also isn't a very good reason for this, other than "our backup service provider stopped making backups and we didn't notice because we never need them", but again, not that interesting. This should've been done before this happened. Whats the point of having a Daily Support Goal bar, Cash Shop: Bonus Weekends, CW market, when it wasn't used in some way to ensure the site was always backed-up. Didn't the last major issue with the site crashing not prepare you so this wasn't repeated? It's very thoughtless to say 'we didn't notice' when you must be paying for a service and not 'notice' it wasn't doing what you paid for. Same for here. This makes me not want to support the site I spend time on when things like this happen.
These are good things to learn and fix This is always said when things go wrong in some shape or form. Doesn't seem like the lessons are teaching you anything if situations like this happen.
I understand you tried to bring something eventful to the site users during these rather stressful times and I'm grateful for it, BUT things should be handled better and not rushed so that errors like this don't continuously happen. I'll attempt to go through my wardrobe through subetalodge in case using the wardrobe link doesn't function. I have a large wardrobe and even though I have some time, it shouldn't have to be something that I have to look for when the site should've been backed-up from the beginning. I'm really disappointment with this having happened. Even if it wasn't just the wardrobe with CWs being affect and it was another part of the site I'd still feel the same way.
I currently can't check what I'm missing cause my entire item list is broken images and if I switch to CWs only view it's blank even though I own a bunch of CWs. to the max
Edit: While I can still check things out in the old wardrobe I'm making a list of all the CWs I own at least. There's exactly 100 of them so gonna take a while. Sadly can't do the same about everything cause it's being buggy and would take days I don't have.
PS yesterday I added some items straight into the wardrobe from NPC shops, such as and now it isn't showing in either wardrobe BUT account search says I own it and it's in my wardrobe if it helps any. Dunno if it does. >.<;

Yeah, wow. I hope you realized that your staggering incompetence just killed your site. I think I've gone blind in the face of it. If the site needs to be rolled back, best get on it. Unless it wasn't backed up for months? How was this not noticed?
Also, why the fuck was an unfinished, buggy wardrode pushed upon us without more testing?!? There were reports that it was majorly bugged, yet it was still forced on us. I myself made a report about a glitch that doubled items. Now I've lost everything. I don't even remember the names of most of the CWs I own!
Gonna go ahead and second it: WHY is this not a news post?? There are entire forum posts full of users BEGGING for more transparency and communication. That’s not optional when people are paying you to use your product. From a business standpoint this is just a bad move all around. No backup, no news post, not a single reply to the thread so far either?? Yeah. This is bad.

Darn, most of these can easily be replaced with SP, but some are really expensive or use holiday currency I would rather save for items I didn't already have.

As per everyone else's concerns, I'm saying that I too have a lot of items in my wardrobe and would be incredibly disappointed if I lost any of the ones I worked very hard for.
I have a Subetalodge Checklist I update whenever I add anything to my collections! Can't believe I'm going to check 426 pages for missing wardrobe items, but guess one must do what one must do. I'll update this post with missing items I find (I will taking breaks because can't be long since hubby's not feeling well, thank you COVID :/)

I haven't even bothered trying to check the non-cw items, but guaranteed there's a ton of those missing too. Who's brilliant idea was it to upload the new wardrobe system w/o making a back-up or making sure there IS a backup first?!
I'm popping in quickly to answer what concerns I can, because I understand this is a very stressful situation, and I don't want to leave you hanging for long.
The issue that caused this is fixed and no longer happening.
We very much want to restore items to accounts; we are working on figuring out how to do this. We understand many items such as CWs are not replaceable and we are absolutely going to do our best to restore these and all the other items. The CSC mentioned will be given out on top of all that as extra compensation.
We own up to this. Failing to notice that backups stopped working was a serious, unacceptable oversight. As Keith mentioned, we have now fixed our backup service and added monitoring to prevent this from happening again. That said, we understand that that does not excuse our error and does not make the current situation better.
We didn't choose to not ping siteupdate; we forgot. However, we will be making a more detailed post about this tomorrow, and we'll make sure to draw attention to that post.
This is all I can answer for now. There will be more details posted tomorrow as well as a chance to talk to us about this further; we want to hear your concerns and make sure they are all properly addressed.

(also WHY has no one on staff responded at all? no official pings whatsoever and leaving everyone to have to find this by chance feels a LOT like you trying to sweep what is theoretically thousands of real life dollars worth of cws going missing under the rug)

TL;DR: Subeta's had another "oopsie-daisy" that's erased items from your wardrobe. They seem to be the same items across the board (my own observation) but CW's have gone missing as well. The worst part? The staff doesn't have any recent back ups to roll back to. They never realized when the backups stopped backing up, because they "never" needed them before now. Keith's being extremely flippant about this utter disaster of an error and decided to make a forum instead of a news post. He (so far) hasn't replied, no staff has replied. This is concerning.
Please, please, please, please! Make this a news post, not something tucked away here in the forums. I've been making the rounds to groups I'm part of and 8+ hours later many of them are still not aware and would not be if myself or someone else had not said something.
