We got the shelter in place order starting at midnight. I wish I'd gone into the office today as I don't know if I'll be allowed to tomorrow, and I need to pick up a laptop and get some things put on my desktop so I can remote.

I work at a hospital so hopefully I can use the health care worker exemption. Is2g-d between this and the problems with using the new EHR for people without a medical licence, it may be worth it to try and come up with $5000 to get the online training that will allow me to take a PA exam.

I'm supposed to be onsite 2 days/week, but if it's illegal for me to leave the city, I'm hosed. Well, not completely--my employer understands--but I also don't want my work to figure out that they could get along without me if they had to. There's a lot of stuff I do that not very many other people in our office can do.

At least I no longer get shit for needing to come in and leave later than most people do due to my sleep disorder. Using public transport during off-peak hours only is now a socially responsible thing to do!

it might be possible for your bf to stay with you from time to time? At least in SF, you're allowed to go out to get food, take a walk around the block, go to the bank, get gas, etc, and I don't think they are going from door to door checking to make sure that everyone is staying inside in their own house. If you're not having a fucking party, I don't think anyone will care that there are two people in your flat. It's not like you're receiving tons and tons of visitors.

I just got a text from my weed dispensary saying that they only would do deliveries, I hope tht they still are able to. I am able to function without THC although I do use it for breakout pain, but there are others who are not.

It could work with like facetime or something

They switched to a new system. The new system has been set up only to allow nurses/PAs the clearance that I am used to having and need to do my job!

Shelter in place is 24 hours. Nobody in this city goes to work unless they are in health care, food distribution (grocery store/delivery service), pharmacy, bank, utilities (phone/gas/water/internet/electricity/garbage) or other essential services (police etc).

Been a very tough night. I was throwing up so violently for 3 hours that my throat it raw and blood vessels around my eyes have burst. Threw up all my meds too. Needless to say i was in a lot of pain and thankful it finally stopped. Its the ibprophin too strong for me. Happened last time too. Called this morning and have been switched to tylenol.

Idk - they issued an advisory on what the new standards are but exempted so many businesses from having to close that I'm not sure there's even a point in forcing closures at all. And they didn't actually like...notify anyone. I only know because I went looking to see. So far we're not closing anyhow and I really can't afford for us to do so.

I'm sorry for the shelter in place =/ And yeah, I didn't imagine they were being super strict as far as leaving your home goes, but we're like...freeway distances away so I'm not sure if there's going to be any kind of shit related to that - hopefully not, but also if my work shuts for 2 weeks I'm not going to be paid and it takes longer than that to get on unemployment so I'm not going to have gas money anyhow =/

We have a ton of stuff and my boss is flipping out about possibly having to close and everything else under the sun and actually told me that we may have to get on unemployment if we're forced to close for any time so...that is very stressful because he's a multimillionaire and could pay us but won't.

A bus would have been preferable over a train.
