Puts spikes on my boots
Feeling any better ?
Yes, that will be even better :)
I don't blame you
I am very tired.
So my shoe is a little shorter than the boot and its rather difficult to walk and I feel like a toddler –giggles- I decided to take a shower this afternoon as I felt hot and sticky. Shower itself was a pain and couldn’t get inside mine at all. I had to go to mum and dad’s and use Mum’s transfer chair. It was a short shower too. But even though I taped the bag on really well I got water in and wound up having to go to the office and have my cast taken off, guts removed and the cast reformed. Was rather painful, as you can imagine being only 2 days post op. I was glad I’d just taken my pain meds before the shower figuring the shower might hurt. He said he made it a little easier to walk in and I do notice a difference. Also a bit more pain because it had to be moved and all without the cast on. And when getting off the table I nearly fell. It was kinda comical really I hand my left arm up and my right leg, like about to do a cartwheel. The doctor tried to grab me and the two orderlies were there super-fast and held me to get stable again. LOL I was impressed with their reflexes. I told them I wasn’t falling, just trying to do a dance move. One orderly asked what kind of dance move and doc replied with “Catch me if you can.” LOL. Gotta have a bit of fun with things or you cry. I got home and laid down for the next three hours. Only slept for one but I feel a little better laying down than I do sitting up. I am hoping I feel less pain in a few days so I can walk better and hopefully get some work done too. I’m totally trying to not sit too long and I wiggle my toes often as well. ^.^
it's not working? It works fine for me. :/ Read above for my extra fun lol.
eh. Not overly. Read above. LOL I've had a fun afternoon.
ugh, that sucks, I'm sorry!
I had no trouble getting to work yesterday, but now I'm sick. If I get short of breath or am not better by Friday I'm getting the corona test.
I'm not sure how I feel about it, because 85% of people who have corona don't even need to go to the hospital, so...do I hope it's negative, or do I hope that since these symptoms are not as bad as my usual cold/flu symptoms are even though they fit into the presentation of corona, it doesn't get any worse and I can get it over with and behind me?
At least I'm a healthcare worker, so they will actually pay me not to come in even if I get too sick to work from home. I did very little work today, mostly what I did was sleep. I wish everyone could get paid for this shelter in place, as it isn't anyone's fault. I understand small businesses' cash flow problems but the government should reimburse this!
But of course we have the worst president ever.

I really hope you feel better. -snugs- and stay safe. I'm glad you can get paid even being sick. Lemme know okay? I hope that money is given to every adult american. It would help out so much. Most people had to spend more because of the virus and now figuring out child care or having to stay home themselves. plus it would help the economy.
Such an ordeal, all for a shower. That really sucks, but good they had a sense of humor and it's a bit easier to walk in.
right LOL at least it proves I clean I guess LOL. yeah wish it didn't make it hurt more but it's all good.
Okay so...California is going on stay at home orders, which is okay for folks who can work from home or who have essential jobs. Unfortunately I have neither of those and am going to be laid off tomorrow. I am....exceedingly stressed out. I understand why they're doing this, but unfortunately they've done nothing to stop bills/interest/rents/loan payments so I'm not sure how we're going to stay afloat right now.
Raven - I'm sorry for the pain and the near fall, but I'm glad you were able to get a shower and that laying down at least isn't as painful for you. I hope the recovery progresses well ❤️
Nods Clean is always a good.
Yeah, right now is pretty stressful time. And people panicking is making it much worse.
ugh. I'm so sorry dear -snugs- I hope you can get unemployment going and that there's some things you can do. Maybe talking to the people who hold your bills can help... I know during Irma and Maria, At&T worked with us. They gave most of their customers in FL and GA no data charges for over the limits and were willing to defer payment for a span. Student loans should be able to be defered with no problem.
Some churches are also willing to help out as well. The LDS have been known to help with bills and things for families even if they aren't of the faith. We'll add your family to our prayers. -squishes-
thanks sweetie. It means a lot for the well wishes :* I'm looking forward to healing to be overwith LOL even though it's only been a few days.
exactly. We ordered a cast cover which will arrive Saturday. I'm looking forward a better shower without worrying about water. It was rather expensive in my opinion ($18) but since I have to have both legs done which is 12 weeks total in a cast it really seems the best choice. And worth the price.
Yeah. I get why they're doing it, but they've just put at least a 1/4 of the state population out of work and I just...don't know how this is going to work.
I'm definitely going to call my other cards tomorrow. I've already talked to my bank about my credit card with them and the car payment I have with them as well. I'll hear back within 24-48 hours about those. And thank you hugs
And I totally understand - being forcibly down during recovery is never fun, not to mention the pain and soreness and exhaustion that recovery causes. I really do hope it goes very smoothly and quicker than expected!
you are victorious! and clean :)
I'm so sorry that you're being laid off. That really sucks.
I'm getting worse, not better. I'm not getting call 911 worse but I'm getting more and more symptoms. However, all the things I'm allergic to are blooming right now, and that does not help.
I'd like to believe that I just have allergies, but the symptoms are wrong. I get those every year, after all. :(
Unfortunately, the symptoms and the progression sound like you-know-what. But hey, 85% of people don't even have to go to the hospital, so it's not like I'm deathly ill. I just feel like shit.
The good thing is that since I haven't been able to work my full hours from home, if I test positive I get 128 hours of administrative leave and then I don't have to work at all, although if I am able to do the call schedules I will (because honestly with reduced staffing I don't fucking trust anyone else to do it). Of course if I get sick enough that I can't function even in a totally sedentary way they'll have to figure it out.
I wish everyone had the safety net that I do. Hopefully we will dump Trump in November. Meanwhile, how do I get to the testing centre without risking anyone else? I don't drive.
I guess I'll put my respirator on and wear gloves...
At least I have TP!
Hopefully it's not Corona. Even though the symptoms are going in the order and at the pace that a lot of the (non fatal) cases go, there's still a chance it could be something else, right?
Except then I don't get 128 hours of free leave and I have to figure out how to work through whatever it is. But thanks to the quarantine I can still do that at home which helps a lot because I so don't have the energy for my 90 minute commute.
It's great to be an American. eyeroll

I hope that it's not Covid-19 but at least if it is you'll have a good backup from your work benefits. I'd definitely call the doc/urgent care and ask them to advise you the safest way to get tested as you don't drive and don't want to accidentally expose anyone. It's possible they have some alternate option to get you there or get you tested =/
I wish you the best of luck. I'm going to be positive that they'll work something out. it's a global crisis after all. yes, exactly. And not wanting to slow down on unpacking lol but having too. It's not fun at all. But I keep trying to remind me that this is worth it for a lifetime of better walking and keeping my legs all together. I mean there's really no contest. THanks :) I hope so too. I'm itching a lot right now in the spots they did the incisions. Which I can't scratch (could try to reach with knitting needles but that wouldn't be a smart idea!) and other fun issues but I did get some unpacking done and all. THe heat has been brutal the last few days on top of it so the sunroom feels like 9000 degrees lol which makes unpacking in their not fun :P
YES! I really wish I could find some damn wet ones so I can do a wet one shower in between but nope...can't find. I'll have to try with a face cloth and do an out of the shower shower till my cast cover arrives tomorrow. I dislike feeling dirty. I'm slight germaphobic so I shower and clean hand a bit more frequently than what probably is normal. Shame everyone else got to the hand sanitizers before I could -cries-
Oh man, I hope you aren't infected with it but if you are I hope you have a speedy recovery. YOu could call the hospital and tell them your suspecting you have it and ask how you can get there to be tested without public transportation. -snuggles- It certainly is a stressful time right now.
