I find it interesting that ostaff is focused on being unavail because I feel that way about most of the dual duty weaps in the Weapon Guide thread at the higher tiers. A lot of the higher tier that are recommended are battle prizes from plots or gelatin wars (which I consistently seem to miss).

And I get stressed deciding whether to buy the expensive af non-plot reward weaps because I'm less than 1000 off the next tier and I don't know whether it'll be less useful in the next tier.

The difference is ostaff sells for 8+bil and other earth blockers like OHS sells for 450 mil and slappy you could maybe find for 1-2bil. There are available good weapons out there - natasha, ether, swashbuckle, blessed trident, manifesting weapon, etc. Most of these weapons can be used at T11+ and T10+. They never stop becoming useful.

Np <3 Also want to note, the other reason I use eor is because I have enough stored up to replace them if I ever need to lend or swap out crystals. If you don't have enough eor to swap out, switch to marquise since they are easier to farm. The freezing marquise have the same %chance to freeze as the eor freezing crystal

I'm curious, does it feel like pricing for the stuff around battling is high compared to other hobbies on the site? I can't tell if I'm just a weenie that needs to spend less on pet treasure and more on saving for battle stuff or if it is rough when you get to higher tiers. I'm probably just a weenie.

Battling is an expensive hobby the more serious you get. The best stuff is expensive, either because it's in limited supply, tied to an achievement so there aren't extra copies for sale, or they are priced high by staff. There is this misconception that battling is profitable because the hard to get loot is very expensive, but it also costs a ton of sP to build your pet strong enough and invest in the right armory to win that loot.

Yeah it definitely feels that way! I think I got too lulled into thinking it was going to be a little pricy but not quite as expensive as something like CW collecting at lower tiers. I think it is interesting that high tier stuff that isn't achievement/reward based is quite pricey. I guess you get a lot of use out of the item but wardrobe items that you use as frequently aren't necessarily. I deffo didn't think it'd be profitable though since you pretty much are holding onto what you get and buying more.

Maybe I need to art commissions or something to raise funds. Good to know though from your last post that the stuff recommended at tier 10 that is available is useful at higher tiers. I assume hook swords also stay useful?

i assume OHS stay useful. it blocks a lot with good blessing.

for other icons, something cheaper like prodigys eyeball and item hunters whip could potentially still be useful. for me at least.

unstable sample syringe too will be useful for quite a while for a budget ice/magma block although it getting more expensive now.

Yes OHS is very useful since the only other earth blockers that block just as much are MSH and ostaff. MSH actually blocks less earth than OHS but it also blocks physical and has a different blessing.

spent most of my csc on the sentinel since I thought it was going to leave the cash shop after Black Friday, but I see they've kept it.

Oh well :P i'm a little close to t8, so at least I can finally get to use it

What did yall use to beat the carrot? I froze w/ before blasting (RB blaster/Soma Tablets), with and as main attackers and and as defenders. A mix of Parched, Healing, Nat Armor, and Fire/Physical defense crystals attached. I still got knocked out SO many times before clawing my way to a 5th win. That chain freeze it can do... :|

You should try riwod and malevolent grenade with defensive bandana. They have a pretty good freeze rate and you can pull off chain freezes quite easily

Plus the 10% heal from riwod will help keep you alive

Also side note I’d ditch the healing crystals. They’re awful

I like parched, 4 icons plus a solid blessing Others like bona because the blessing is better than parched, but no added icons Some like to load crit crystals because if they proc together hitting 10k+ is not uncommon

But the healing crystals are definitely not worth the mod slot
