Wow! We regularly deal with weather whiplash, but 40 degrees in a couple of days? That's extreme. Ours are usually in the range of 20 degrees over a few days.
Those poor sad koalas...as if there hasn't been enough loss of wildlife.

Sneering Muppet 😂

I feel that these posts will be becoming fewer and fewer as less news becomes available to supply to you, which, in the long run is a good thing. I want to thank each and every one of you for joining, your donations and your support, and to those of you that helped spread the information via your social media, to all of you thank you. On a terrible and at times heartbreaking topic it has still been a pleasure to put these posts together for you all and I appreciate each and every one of you for taking the time to come by and keep updated, you are all totally awesome and wonderful human beings!
As always, where ever you are, stay safe!
That is quite a photo of the storm clouds. Along with the horrible pics of the fires and the damage brought by them, the pics of the flooding are also heart breaking. May there soon be a time when no updates are needed.
Sending love, hope, hugs and prayers. Stay safe everyone.

Thanks for putting all this together for us.
The rain here in Sydney is intense - I'm hoping it does a lot of good putting out fires and rejuvenating plants (one of our trees we thought dead has just sprouted new leaves in the last few days!) with as little flooding and damage as possible, but we'll see.
I'm loving the rainy day.
I'm listening to a gentle pitter-patter of raindrops outside my window as I read this update. We had a couple of tiny fires spring up nearby on Friday/Saturday (possibly due to lightning strikes as we had storms across this way end of last week but with no rain to accompany until now) so it's great to get a little more water on the ground from mother nature. Hopefully the emphasis is on 'little', we need good soaking rain, not too much of the stuff that gets dumped down in one go.
Thanks for organising all the awesome updates , you've done a great job ❤

This started life as Australia Burns (was changed due to upsetting someone) and I'm thinking I may need to change it again to Australia Drowns!
The wet weather that has now lashed the Eastern states is unbelievable when you consider the ravaging fires that only days ago were chewing through the country, but then again the whole state of the weather/nature around the world has gotten to such a tipping point that it's hard to believe that it is still being seen as nothing to do with climate change. Locust plagues are sweeping across East Africa and South Asia, volcanoes are erupting and killing people in places that you wouldn't fear such a thing happening as it did in New Zealand, floods in Brazil and Indonesia just to name 2 places, virus's spreading world wide as with the Coronavirus, world wide drought, unprecedented weather highs world wide, not to mention that 18C record for the Antarctic, earthquakes, tsunami's, wildfires the world over! Bushfires never before seen in the recorded history of Australia and now flooding to add insult to injury for an already suffering land and communities. What makes this worse is that for the first time since we started electing officials we have more unstable people in power than ever before and while I joked years ago about watching a train wreck unfold if certain people got elected I quickly realised, I am on that train! I don't know about you but I think we need something (even though it's sadly right) to give us a chuckle so I've linked these two beauties in for you guys, the first is funny as (still) and while it's not as funny the creators have made an up to date one to reflect our world today, I hope you enjoy!
Thank you again for this. Sending tons of love and hugs. Stay safe everyone.

While this is a satire site, it's a bit too realistic, and may give a laugh.
Celebration as natural disaster averted by slightly less horrific natural disaster

Well, we're still standing here where I am on the east coast. Though, on Monday our harbour was throwing an epic tantrum...it was amazing. The jetty/boat ramp got lose and was actually bobbing in the harbour and was getting slammed against the wall! The pathway was also flooded at one point, and the beach was a mess! But more rain is coming...well, we got what we wanted I suppose...
