I am sorry how this is affecting you but know is natural since its so close to you. I live miles away and it affects me too just probably not as intense as it does to you. I have had that image of the koala in my head too and my heart broken thinking of the animals, the forest, the people. Many difficulties are happening all over the world and surely there is a reason even when we can't understand it. I truly hope you feel better soon, take a break and try to do something that relaxes you so you can release some of that stress and pain. -hugs-

Just going to echo the sentiments and give a soft nod of recognition. Negative information in any form is just as toxic as if you were drinking antifreeze, and you were taking it all in. Find as much peace as you can and hold it to you so you can detox. I can bet it's been said but I'll add it too; if you need ears to voice things to (or eyes in this case) there are several pairs here, including mine, please use us if it will help. Sometimes it's not about agreement or solving the problem, just that there needs to be a venting. Take care of you or you can't take care of anything else. ❤️

It saddens, but does not surprise me that there is very little in the news (I'm talking about here in Australia) the last few days, it seems that the lack of roaring fires and pitiful carcasses doesn't make for great headlines and while much is happening in the world of great importance, the drop off of any reporting from the major news industries here in Australia seems 'tactless'. The fires aren't over, the animals and people are still dead, the property losses are in the billions and the fire season still looms. I've searched for news from individual area papers (in all honesty I don't know where to locate individual papers online for the east-coast towns affected) as well as the usual updates hoping to find more information on what is happening at this moment, sadly a lot of this news is days old.

I hope what have been contained stays that way and all is finally put out. I can't imagine all this is affecting all the population in Australia emotionally and physically too. All that smoke and ashes also has to cause trouble to everyone including the animals. I hope, like the phoenix, you can all reborn stronger and better.

Unfortunately one of my school friends lost her home and land today to bushfire. Thankfully she got her horses and dogs out. She's still trying to protect a neighbours place.

The fires keep going, just not as much in the news currently. Here's a map plus a couple of news items extra. I can't deal with news often, you have my admiration.

Thank you so much for your updates and news, I'm deeply sorry for your friend but I am so glad to hear she and her animals made it, thoughts are with you!

The news from Dracona shows how far from 'over' or 'safe' people and the fires are but again there is no news covering that, the loss of the Americans in the tanker crash is headline and while it is extremely sad that they perished while trying to defend those from the fires, it is not the only news that needs or should be reported in my opinion. Where are these fires, what is the state of them, are there properties in danger, what is the foreseen path of the fire, is it/are they containable or will rising weather temperatures in the coming week cause more disaster? Please don't get me wrong I am and do feel for the families of those that died and that news does need to be covered but the fires still burn, why is this news not being reported? I just feel that we are becoming 'old news'.

You are doing an amazing job keeping us all informed, but we all understand what an emotional strain taking all these images and information in; please take care of yourself. My heart and prayers go out to all of you who have been and are continuing to be affected 💜 💜

Since the rain came, we seem to be getting less news here in the UK, which is a great shame. I guess it can’t stay top news story constantly, when obviously there are other important things going on around the world, but people need to appreciate that Australia is still suffering.
