Just got back from the vet... Another $700—$900 Ugh! $400 of that is for medication!! Just when we only had $900 to go to pay off all the other vet bills!! The vet gets $630 an hour for surgery.
Starting to think we need pet ins... does anyone have info or suggestions about it? Would appreciate feedback. :)

I'm so sorry! I don't have any experience with pet insurance. Hopefully you will find something that can help. Do you have a pet that is chronically ill, or have you had some emergencies? (If you don't mind my asking.) We had an insulin-dependent kitty, and it was tough, but nothing like that!

In Holland it is different, you can choose for a insurance but most peope i know are not doing it. I just paus 45 euro's for there fist vaccination , but in experience i know people had to pay because the insurance was not paying because it was not in the package... so they pay 25 euro's every month and in 5 years the needed something and had to play for themself sound 1000 euro ... so if they woult saying evert month 25 euro's for 4 years they could have paid of themself and not spending money for 5 years for nothing ( this is one story) but i know allot of people who are paying every month and when they need it the company dont even gonna pay it ..

Any of y'all use an air fryer? My husband has become obsessed with the idea again (he wanted one when they first came out but I nixed it because of the cost), now that they are reasonably priced. He's been researching them for days now. I'm tired of hearing cooking videos about them. 😆 So, if any of you have recommendations or good/bad input, I'd be glad to hear it!

I don’t mind you asking at all. As you know, we feed, spay, and vaccinate feral cats in our neighborhood. A lot of them have become our pets now. I think the official number that we consider pets is up to 11. Ugh! Spooky, is the 3rd one that, beside being, neutered, and, vaccinated is having to have surgery. I don’t know what happened, the neighbor said that he saw him fighting... his foot got a wound that was infected. We were treating it with antibiotics that we had left from one of the other cat surgeries. Last night, it burst—blood everywhere!! The vet was closed, so we took him for a walk in (emergency) this morning... He’s worth it, he is the best, well behaved, most lovable boy ever!<3 But, these vet bills are just killing us!! Good thing for these kitties, we love animals!! :)

Poor Spooky! I hope he recovers well! Two of our kitties that we adopted from the shelter had to have nearly all their teeth pulled out. I didn't think we'd ever get those two surgeries paid off! You do such good with the strays -- I hate it costs you so much!

Good luck , at one time I cared for 11 cats myself, all found. I'm down to six now, it's all I can afford.

I just got one about a month ago. I have only used it twice- once to make eggplant for eggplant parm and once for French fries. It was so easy to use and clean up was easy too. Plus the food was really good!

that's so nice of you. I don't have any experience with pet insurance, unfortunately but it sounds like it might be useful in your situation maybe if you just use it for a specific cat? Probably pretty expensive otherwise.
