Anyone who plays Neopets will recognise the name Jinjah (it's like a minion - but they're called petpets. The Jinjah looks like a gingerbread man). I chose it because Ginger was already taken - my daughter has ginger hair and I was just trying to quickly think of a name. I would've gone to more trouble to pick a better name if I knew I'd be sticking around for all these years!

I, for one, am not very keen on changing mine. Simply because it's easily recognizable - I've been using this one on everywhere, if you encounter it chances are it's me - and because it involved quite a thought process.

Well, actually, there wasn't much thought but visualization involved. You see, it all started with my need for an actual username (the other one I was using before wasn't available at that time). That need conjured up an image of a dark, full-moon, bright night. There is a cliff of sorts (imagine the bendy, swirly thing Jack Skellington is standing on in the The Nightmare Before Christmas) that watches over an unseen abyss. A spectre is facing the abyss, dark and faceless, an atmosphere of quiet contemplating sadness about it. The image pans out behind it, to the edge of a forest. Specifically to a thick tree stump that's hollowed out but silver while bathed in the moonlight.

Hence the moonlithollow (even though the "hollow" part, in my head, refers to the spectre).

My name means Pride in Latin. In games my name was too generic and was always taken so I decided to make my characters after the 7 deadly sins (was also the name of the guild I was in) and from then on, I just pick one and use that one. Admittedly everywhere else I have a different sin, Superbia I believe lives only on this site by now :D

If I can change it, I would to something closer to my real name, but not a priority right now :)

This wasn't my original username - I started with one that had no bearing to any name I'd used before, then changed it when some people I knew on here from Neopets said they could never remember who I was :P). Paddy was a nickname given to me on 'the site fights' website years (and year!) ago.... I picked "Padfoot" (from the Harry Potter books) as my online name, but they gave everyone a nickname so I was known as Paddy, and it kind of stuck from there :P

ulalena is my UN which I love dearly. Most people think it is a forename, and we even would have a similar one here in Germany, it would be Ulla-Lena. However, ulalena is a musical / evening show at the Maui Theatre. Ulalena tells the story of Hawaii and its people through song, chant and dance. The show explores the myths, legends, and history of Hawaii. It's magic! And the title song is also "Ulalena" so I have my own user name song! ;-) Ulalena is a clearing spiritual rain after a long period of drought, also in a metaphorical sense. My username is actually the username I wanted on another big virtual pet site but was taken so when I created an account here on Subeta thanks to and saw that paramour wasn't taken I def took it. :) Paramour is a the inspiration behind the band name Paramore :)

My username has been with me since I was a little tween. I wanted to create an account on this website where the idea was to “grow a virtual forest” by getting people to click on it, and after a certain amount of time the site would close down and they would plant a tree per… idk, 100.000 clicks? I don’t really remember, I was smol.

Anyways, my mom had hammered on me how important it was to never give out your real name on the internet. But I’m really bad at remembering names, so I decided to create one that I’d never heard so it would be easier to remember. I close my eyes, tapped three random keys on the keyboard, and started adding letters as it thought sounded best for a while. I called my little forest “Slerian”, and then just…. Stuck to it. Have been using it on every website ever since.

I will try and keep it short. lol I was bored, since neopets was down for a long time, and my friend (that I meet on neo) told I should check out subeta. :) I am not sure why, but the username PinkPanther popped into my mind. I watched the cartoons as a kid, and liked them, but had not thought about it since. I do love cats (big and small)- and I guess the mix cutesy pink and a fierce panther appeals to me. xD Never changed my username and dont feel like doing so. :)

Minty is based on my favourite colour. You guessed it: mint. The -y is because I kinda like how a mint is connected to freshness and a little spiciness. I think that describes my character quite well. I'm also always trying to get mint-coloured clothing here on subeta, especially CWs. They are my treasures! <3 The wardrobe in general is my favourite subeta feature. I also never felt like changing my user name. Been the same for more than 6 years now and I still feel well represented c:

Hello! I have my username for a year or 3 now? I changed it when I came back from an hiatus. I made this account when I was a teen (11 years and 7 months ago!) and then played some years with my friend here.. then I somehow got off and when I returned I disliked my childish username (my nickname with random numbers) so.. I changed it with a loyalty totem. I choose Jukebox because I have almost always different usernames per site, but Jukebox was available and I'd always loved to have one!

I have been jersey online since my beginning on the internet back in the olden days. lol I chose it because I had moved to Ohio and was still missing my home state of New Jersey and also because I began playing FPSs and it was male dominated and I preferred to not be instantly recognizable as a female. It was just easier avoid abuse. I have a couple other names online that include 'jersey' when it alone is taken which now is almost always. Even on subeta it was a couple years of stalking before I could change to it. I do want to change it. I am no longer as attached to my home state and my mom will be selling up her house there which is our last physical connection to it. Only emotional ones left. But, I have been jersey for sooo long that I am finding it difficult to make the change.

When I first signed up I was Scorninc. The name is a made up brand for my demonic doctor character to operate under. A few years later the name Cheshire became available and I remember how lucky I was to have the day off of work to sit and hyper refresh the page 10000 times to be sure I got it.

I'm obsessed with Alice in Wonderland and the cat has always been my favorite, he's just such a brat I love it. I can't choose a favorite adaptation but I mostly think of the Disney cartoon color scheme when imagining him. Although I've drawn a few and they always end up blue and purple cuz aesthetic. 8D

My un is kind of ironic because I am not super ambitious. I do have ambitions but I am generally really laid back and not easily offended. I care about a lot of things though and can easily get hyped up to fight for something cool (like dinosaurs). Also my sister helped me pick out my name. We liked it because it started with the same letter as my rl name. I have toyed with changing it but I cannot figure out what I would change it to, so it stays Ambition. :D

My username came about during a late night un search for another site some friends wanted me to join. We got silly and ta-da! It's been around since at least the very early 2000s if not the tiniest smidge earlier than that. If you see it somewhere else its probably me.

I do and don't want to change it. I do because I've found so many nicer/more fitting names over the years but don't because I'm terribly horribly hopelessly sentimental and its easy to remember because I've used it for so long.

My username is based off Leafeon the pokemon, which is one of my favorites. When I was a kid I always thought they should have a grass type eeveelution so I was really excited when they finally made one! I love grass type pokemon and I love the color green. I didn't know what to make my username when I started (almost exactly 2 years ago!!) but I checked if Leafeon was available and it was! So there ya go.

So my internet handle has been following me around since 5th grade (I'll explain what happened) and as far as internet goes, it stuck around ever since internet arrived in our lives and homes, around 1996 in my case. Before I started playing virtual worlds like Dreamscape, there were chatrooms like The Palace (and obv. mIRC and the likes) and it was always my name, so much that after over 25 years, it's just really part of who I am! ❤️

So! One day I was daydreaming in class, I must have been around 11 years old? Not sure? And I was doodling in a book and I drew the letters "L" and then "K" next to one another. Out of nowhere. Then when I read it in my mind, it did "EL - KA" (I am French Canadian, so this is how we'd pronouce "k", it's not "kay" for us it's "kah"). I immediately found that soooo pretty?! It was instant, that would be the name I would give myself when we played pretend games and so on, pre-computer era. Only years later I learned that it was many other things, female elk in another language, that there was a keyboard (I believe) company named like that too, and I even heard there used to be a MTV or MuchMusic whatever veejay?? (Again, Quebec had Musique Plus instead so I was clueless lol) Hahaha! But it was mine and mine only in my head. Also, I never put a capital letter there and it sort of became my trademark if you will. ❤️
