Has anyone had fun with the Black Friday sale? I'm addicted to the stupid chance machines... I'm trying to get the plushies I need so I can finish that collection, but I don't think it's gonna happen. I'm glad I hoarded my CSC this year!

I told Yvette last night it reminds me of years ago when Kelli and I were addicted to buying and opening and sharing here our goodies from the Lumi gifts or Gifts of Fashions Past on black Friday LOL. And which one gives plushies??! asks knowing that I will just be addicted even more!!

I had planned on getting wishlist items (especially kitty) for Black Friday. I hope I manage it tomorrow. I hadn't taken a bath since Tues... the night before needing mega kitty pics. I haven't eaten much... 1/2 or 1/3 but at least I eat a little. It'll get better, eventually.

under the plushie section is the velvet sack for 75csc a pop. I needed 3 from that and I got 2! Just need Sebastian! I have a few extras to trade with, but that's assuming someone needs one of the ones I have. I also was trying for the Turpal plushie and I needed the Sea Critters and Willikers ones but I got lucky and nabbed them in the themed sets.

Is anyone relieved that we might not need to do heavy mall shopping this year??

I am in a little bit of denial that it's December already to be honest! But Lumi is always a fun way to kick it off!

I actually miss being able to go to a mall once in a while. I really would have liked to get a few clothing items, find some specials, etc. Online shopping has its perks, but it's not the same as getting to touch & see in person. Then there's the frustration that oven-bake-clay is out of stock or price gouged because apparently a lot of creative people have more time on their hands. I also miss not being able to get special food for the holiday in markets.

I sometimes make hand-made gifts... I won't be able to give anything this year except virtually as I can't meet up with anyone this year. The family might have a virtual get-together, similar to Easter.

I'm thankful for the various technical advances we have that helps break isolation more than in the past. When I was a child, my parents and I lived for 3 years in China. We recorded video cassettes that we sent via mail so family members could "see" us. We would wait for an acceptable time to call the family and then quickly pass the phone from one person to the next to wish everyone happy holidays. We would write letters. All of those are still nice... but we have so many more options now :)

I'm trying my best to have some cheer... but there are times I'm struggling. I put Christmas lights on my balcony but I'm going to have to redo them. I had 3 snowflakes... I only wanted 2 matching this year and out of fatigue, I didn't realize they weren't matching until everything was up. I thought my carebear/rainbow would be highlighted... and it's in complete dark. Mmm tis the season.

I too am in denial that it's December already. sigh I have some of my decorations up. It's slow-going. I wasn't sure I was going to bother, since no one would really see them, but hubby is a little kid at heart and insisted, so I have been. I've been needle felting gnomes for my coworkers for gifts. They are quick and fun to make. I also have a 2-handled saw blade to paint a country scene on for my sister. It shouldn't take too long to make. Just gotta make the time to do it. I'm hoping we can Zoom on Christmas so I can watch her open it. hugs to those who need one.
