Working on a renaissance doublet for hubby. I made him a tunic ages ago and he wants to upgrade from a peasant to something a little more formal lol. I was gifted a really nice piece from his friend so he wants to match my status! We have one more ren faire to attend this year. I'm hoping to get this done by then. I'm also needle felting a shoulder dragon to add to my garb. We'll see how that comes out!

A pink tomato is pretty common in Canada. It's a medium-big tomato that tastes less acidic than a regular red tomato. There's a remarkable variety of tomatoes that exist... just today I learned about the cocoa tomato (dark purple on top and red on the bottom) that's prune sized. I'm growing a few interesting varieties... the rarest of the bunch are Sunberry tomatoes. They taste like various berries mixed together in a small fruit the size of a blueberry :D

I just read about white tomatoes being the sweetest... note to self for next year :P Right now I have 6 varieties in a personal garden and other varieties in a garden I share with others (which is where I was today).

Then I went hog wild with beans this year... amazing the varieties that exist and that are becoming extinct/endangered because of over-commercialization of certain varieties making others forgotten.

I taught for a brief time secondary school kids & special need kids. I understand how you can miss it... I still do as well :)

The 6 blank achievement is actually very rare & difficult to obtain, congrats :)

Strength is one of the most sought after oracle rewards (most complain about level increases as this increases the cost of training) & oracle can be rare to get, so congrats ;)

By the way, you can train more than one pet on Subeta... my main battle pet is Poukie & all my pets train.

We get a variety of fun events, most include help from other users and some also involve pets fighting... fun times :D We'll be bombarding you with help (new victims... erm fresh blood, erm ok put away the shark teeth :P)

Make sure to go on the newbie forum & introduce yourself there. Some older users love to help out. For events, go on the forums, participate... in your signature indicate First X event (e.g. 1st Lumi)... many people will pitch in and help... it's what I did and it's how I found this amazing group ;)

I would love to do renaissance fairs. My parents have gotten into Steam Punk... both mid-60s but they love history, dad loves sci-fi and mom loves getting dressed up.

I'm still figuring out what to put on the glider... I thought about pans and pots but I have too many :P Most likely it'll be for pots only as it's a pain to bend to get them and the balance ain't what it used to be.

I didn't know there were white tomatoes, either! Thanks for the link. It was great! My parents love to grow the heirloom tomatoes, too. Our favorites are Green Zebra and Cherokee Purple. Have you ever encountered those?

Green Zebra yes... not sure about Cherokee Purple; although I've tasted purple tomatoes before. I have black cherry tomatoes that look purplish in my garden. I like discovering new varieties and keep the ones I prefer. I also get gifts so sometimes I don't intend to grow plants but I've had some nice surprises... like climbing spinach :D

Most people are nice here... others you can block. Users don't even battle each other... just Subeta challengers (makes it a much friendlier community). I've been here 2.5 years now. At first, I felt so behind since I had been on neo for more than a decade... but people helped me a lot and feel caught up so now I just feel like part of the gang.

Take your time and build yourself a wishlist... you'd be surprised what you might get from complete strangers at times :) Definitely build up your wishlist before December... I won't go into details but it's a must :P

Mom calls those unexpected plants "volunteers". LOL She usually gets volunteer tomatoes every year and it's fun to guess which one it's going to be.

I have surprise seedlings land in my garden... but I've also been given free plants. I winded up with 2 red cherry tomato plants that were donated to the community garden trying to save them... and did. I got dino kale that was in a weak state and poor little fella didn't make it. I got the climbing spinach & Sunberry tomato plants because I was searching for a special herb that tastes like peaches (turns out it isn't sold in Montreal). A merchant was impressed I tried several places and I knew one of the sellers (part of my community garden near my new place). She explained to her boss that I liked "exotic" plants so he went into his kiosk and got me those plants... gave them to me for free :D
