I think if the other two books in the series are as good as the first one (I think there's a fourth book due out soon as well), then I'll be reading them really quickly as I don't want to put the first one down - it's got me hooked into the plot already! :D

Now that definitely sounds awesome! I think I might have to sew myself a Hogwarts scarf at some point (I really don't have the patience to try knitting one laughs) ;)

:P I see you've gone back to your HA for the 'ketchup stage' of metal, rather than covering it with a background - I had a feeling you wouldn't be covering those two stages ;)

Its always a good sign when the booksk gets you hooked early in the book. :D

Scarves are easy to knit usually, but it takes longer than you would think if you want a long one! Sewing one is a nice idea. :D

Ducks are adorbs.. it was one male and one female, so I like to think a couple. xD I didnt have one yet, so when I saw this one in stores I just had to get it. :)

I finished the first book today - that's definitely a really good series :d (I've already said to Mum that I'd like the 4th book for my birthday laughs) :d

nods it's the length of time that gets me every single time on knitting scarves 😊 it sounds such a great idea in theory, but I lose patience before I even get half way 😊 I think the only scarf I ever actually knitted and finished, was an infinity scarf knitted in the round - and that wasn't as wide as it could've been :P

your HA looks a little surprised today :P

Thanks :D I wanted to try a zombie wolf, and figured Eyesore was a good choice for that ;) I'm on the last stage before Eyesore unlocks.... wonder if I'll have time to do a vial then start a final zombieness before Survival ends....

I dont blame you. :) For me I dont think I would have any patience with sewing. :P

Big yawns here today, had to get up early for an appointment... made a bunch of phonecalls and now charging up for a walk later. :P

hehe I was lucky and found the first three books really cheap online - much better than paying £9 per book! ;)

laughs a lot of people find knitting relaxing - I just lose track of whether I'm on a knit or purl row, then mess it up completely 😊

I've finally heard back from K's Mum with what size clothing she buys for him, so I can figure out what I'll make for his birthday.... not too sure if it'll be a dinosaur t-shirt or a superhero button-up shirt at the moment :P I do also have a pattern for a zipped jacket that converts into a bag, but I don't know if I've got enough stretchy fabric for that one ;)

hehe it really does look good for a zombie stage ;) The vial has 4 stages, so I'm going on the assumption that if an 8 stage takes 4 days, then 4 stages will take 2 days - so as long as I'm online late on Friday, I should be able to get bites for a final one ;)

That is even better then. :D

There are some patterns where you dont really have to count etc.. but those tend to be a bit boring to knit tho I guess. :) Some days I am not in mood for something complicated either and just being able to knit without counting and thinking about each step can be nice too.

Anything dinosaur or superhero related should be a hit at his age :D Hopefully you can find some fun fabrics without breaking the bank. ;)

:nods: I wasnt sure if I wanted the ice one or the death roe more, but ended up with this. xD

definitely! :D :D

At one point I knitted a large toy (I gave that one to a neighbour's older child when the neighbour had just had a baby), which was fun to make.... but when I knitted a second one, I just messed up on 64 rows of 82 stitches in stocking stitch and had a ridge part way through where I'd knitted the wrong row 😊 After that point I gave up :P

nods I've got the fabric for both (I was struggling to find superhero stuff, so I bought it when I came across it in the shop rather than leaving it laughs), it's just deciding which will be the easiest to make laughs

thanks :d And it finished earlier than I'd expected - it's already unlocked the skin, so I'm going for Naughty Nip as my final one (still waiting on bites for that though) :D

That's a really elegant looking HA today - which zombieness are you working on at the moment?
