Hi all! Sorry for the late posting today for the challenge. Work was crazy this morning.
**I already know what I plan to do, but I'd still love to hear your ideas anyway!
Cute HA!!
So I have seen a lot of cute ways to announce things. One was to take a picture of your (and your hubs) shoes with a baby pair next to yours.
I liked that the most because I love hiking so for me I'd get hiking boots for as young of a kid as I could to put next to mine and say something like. "One day you'll grow into these!"

I've friends I met from other game sites that tracks their pregnancy online via this funny and cute fruit app that tells when a baby is in the size of a _____ (insert fruit name). Probably you use it bc you're stating them already during every week challenge :D
Gosh, I loathe social media in all its forms, so I guess I'll sit this one out since I'd be rubbish at it. lol I can't wait to hear what you have planned though. :D
you can always just hint to it, funny, maybe even something hidden that may take people longer to figure it out. But i guess on fb, and by pictures.
I'm a board gamer, so I really like the "player 3 is joining X, 2019" announcements. There are also cute things like having your pet hold a sign saying "soon to be big brother" etc.
Oh, pictures are always a nice way to announce. Either being a loading bar charging painted on the belly, posting pictures of your and your husband's feet with a pair of little baby shoes between you two or both of you holding the sleeves of some baby pajamas...
Maybe a video of you feeding baby food to your partner (he wearing a bib and all) and saying you are practicing for the upcoming baby.
I think a sonogram picture is a cute way to do it :)
i don't know if you have pets, but i think the pet + sign ones are really cute, like "soon to be big sibling" or "my parents are getting me a human." even cuter i think is when ppl stage photos of the pets looking at books called like "how to be a big brother" or "how to tell your dog you're pregnant."
if you don't have pets though i think ones with 2 normal sized objects + a baby object are cute too, like the shoes people mentioned, or like, doughnuts + a doughnut hole, or plushies with a little one between them, or really whatever is special to you.
I'm old school and would probably just say it in words or post the sonogram image.
Just please don't post that plastic stick you had to pee on. Why in the world do some people think the world at large wants to see that? :)

My sister and brother-in-law announced their baby with a stop motion video. It was awesome! They both stood in front of the camera, took a chalkboard and put it over my brother-in-law's chest. It showed a heart beating. Then they put it over his stomach and it showed some food in there. They then put it over my sister's chest where it showed her heart beating, and then over her stomach, where it showed a tiny heart beating. It was really fun to watch and such a cute way to announce their pregnancy!
I've seen some cute "bun in the oven" posts/videos that seemed like a funny/cute way to announce it without having to do a whole big thing. Can't wait to hear about what you're planning for your announcement!
The best way to use social media is for memes. You can do something like this for fun.
Me: My baby is finally looking like a human!
My baby:

maybe sonogram in a frame with you 2 holding it
Working on: Battle pets. Tier 5 and 12

All these suggestions sound good. I'm anxious for you to let us see what you actually do when you announce it. I'm way passed baby bearing age as I have two great-grandchildren. So I have no new ideas. No social media, we just had a family dinner and announced it. We couldn't know whether our babies were boys or girls until they came. Our first two were boys so for the third I really wanted a girl. I was woozy when I saw the baby held up by the doctor. He asked me what I had at home. I told him two boys and now I had another one. I saw the umbilical cord and thought it was a penis. He shoved her little bum right in my face and said "this doesn't look like a boy to me." I said "Oh let me hold her." I was so thrilled I never wanted to let her go. 😄 👶
I'm all about being straightforward. A cute little sign that says something like "1+1=3" and let that be it. I'm so over those too precious Insta and FB awkwardly posed photos that are trying too hard. Simple is always better, especially if you're of the age where everyone and their sister is pregnant. Cute gets old in a hurry.
