That's sweet. :) One of my favorite things about Jeff is how he will help me do prep for every meal I cook. And I love to cook, so that's a lot of prep. :D I like your HA, btw.
That’s a big help, prepping can be a chore. I’m the cook and I’m just okay at it. Lol. Thanks, I got the top and threw this simple HA on.

Yeah, his help with the prep cuts cooking time down by like a third. And when I say I like cooking, I mean I LIKE cooking. For instance, I cooked a nice meal for us the night after our wedding since we did not get to have a reception. I bought fresh lobster ravioli from the store and then prepared everything else from scratch, including a lump crab-meat cream sauce, seared jumbo scallops, rib-eye steaks and seared asparagus. The steaks ended up being incidental, because the raviolis and sauce were mind-blowing lol.
Sometimes simple is best. My HA's are often super-involved and it takes soooo long to make.
You know, it had its benefits. For instance, I was able to get out of the dress within a reasonable amount of time and at the end of the day, we just had pizza, because cooking was NOT going to happen that night. :) Is your HA Fernand Mondego?
It reminds me a lot of Fernand played by Guy Pearce. The Count himself is played by Jim Caviezel, who is one of my favorite actors. It's an excellent movie. I normally read the book before watching the movie, but I actually haven't read that book yet either. It's on my to-do list.
I think it will be right up your alley. Make sure to save this HA so that you can look back at it afterwards and go, "Ooooooh, that's what she meant." :)
Rogue, Things are well enough. It's looking like we might begin the school year with distance learning. I have mixed feelings about that both as a teacher and as a mom. I am actually considering taking a hiatus from teaching to home-school my son....
Well friends, I hope you had a fun Morostide! I am sorry that I did not put up an event thread like I normally would, but Morostide happened to coincide with a huge life event for me and I did not have the time. When my school district announced a month ago that they were sending us back into the building with children and there were no solid plans in place for our safety, my husband and I made the very difficult decision for me to resign and homeschool Robbie until the Covid-19 vaccine has been successfully disseminated and the virus is truly under control. I am in a high-risk category and cannot risk even sending my son to school, lest he bring it home. Once the dust clears, I am not certain of what I will do for a career - it is distinctly possible that I might do something else to help children, aside from teaching in a school district. We'll see!
Anyway, I hope that each and every one of you is well and that you are blessed with good health and financial and emotional security. I look forward to visiting!
I think it was a wise decision you made and hopefully they will find a cure for this virus soon.

I am not old. I am gracefully aged
It was such a difficult decision to make and they gave us less than a week to make it, too. How are you?
That is a wise and difficult decision to make in short notice. I pray that all will work out. I have two nieces who are teachers and applaud that profession. Take care.

Thank you very much on all accounts. How have you been?
I’m doing well. I must say I am enjoying being furloughed. If I can’t find acceptable work by July, I’ll probably retire.

I wouldn't blame you at all! What would you want to do once retired?
Kinda what I'm doing now. A daily bicycle ride (since gyms are closed). A lot of reading. A bit of art and journaling. Korean dramas. LOL. Maybe take a class or two.

Julie That sounds nice. :) I've been thinking about taking a painting class, or possibly going to culinary school.
11/26 Edit: I wanted to wish any of my friends that are American a very happy Thanksgiving and to say that I am grateful for each and every one of you, whether you celebrate this holiday or not. I hope that you are blessed with laughter and love today. hug
