- wow that would have been a huge project...I've never made anything that big. Only a "throw" sized blanket. I found a cute pattern for little round chickens and will make a small banner with them for my little "Egg" trailer...just a silly decoration but will be cute in there. This hat I'm making is a little too advanced for me but I'm forging on...it has cable stitches...I think I've messed a few up but doesn't look bad. I'll be glad when I'm done.
- hehe I talk the brave talk when the plan is months away ...as it gets closer we'll see how my courage holds up :)
"Messed up", I was told by my grandmother the errors are actually trademarks. Why? Because if someone were to say, they did your project. You could point out your trademarks, and prove its your work.
I made 3 blankets that size for each of my sons, and then I did one to cover up when I nap or sleep at night.
Do you follow patterns? I cant they destroy my last nerve. I learned watching my grandmother at a very early age. Turned me into a visual learner for the rest of my life, written crocheting directions are jibberish to me
I'm so glad. =) And always down for a cat story. You have them pegged. XD I call Beau (left) the criminal mastermind. Mikey does the legwork. When they were tiny and newly here I did something to Beau that a friend of mine did to my previous dog as a puppy y'know...just for amusement. I fipped him on his back into the crook of my arm and asked, "Who wants to be the baby?" (If you're keeping score, my dog did not appreciate this game.) And Beau looked me right in the eyes, turned into a wet noodle and said, "Me. What else you got?" Adorable? Yes!
However...he's now nearly 5 y/o, 17 lbs and I am not allowed to hold him any other way. I have never been allowed to hold him any other way. He will fight me. And while Beau is being hefty baby Mikey is off stealing all my stuff, climbing on the t.v. stand, wrestling with the stairs, swimming in the dogs' water bowl, and I've caught him more than once with a paw on either side of a doorknob trying to work out the magic move. Beau watches it all and gauges how much trouble Mikey's getting into working out how to do the things and not get caught.
Bunny! ❤️ I had one long ago. Loved that boy. And what's cuter than a lop? Seriously. Your dog sounds like a tiny, grooming nightmare. XD I like them visually though. It's like they're trying to homage late 80s glam with the floofy almost-curls but they just don't have enough practice yet.
I keep telling you, catch me on the right day and I'll slingshot one straight to you. ;P

- I follow patterns...I've experimented before without a pattern but if I see something I like I want it to be like the pic...so I use the pattern...this pattern was just too much for me so I faked it :) My husband says it looks good (after I covered some goofs!)
Hi there :) They are bright little cotton circles...I think intended as an ornament...or coaster maybe? I'm going to make the little loop at the top smaller and crochet a chain linking a few as a little pennant/banner type thing...the pattern is free on Ravelry...and there is a YouTube video

- me too! We have a little backyard coop and I have discovered how much fun chickens are...ours have had different personalities and they have all been very comical. We have had so much fun taking care of them and finding out their little individual ways...and we are spoiled with the delicious eggs.

- New York! How fun...I have never been...need to get there one day. I might be going to see a dear old friend on her family farm in Illinois later in the year...an old house with big back porch where I plan to sit with a cup (or three) of coffee :)
