I am so sorry to hear that. i lost my older sister to really bad teeth, which poisoned her whole system and killed her. Which is why i tell everybody get to the dentist on a regular basis. my sister died at her younger son's 18th birthday party.

I had surgery on one wrist, and the day to day with that was too much. Fortunately i was able to use my hand a little right away, I can't imagine doing both at once.

I never experienced much pain with my wrist surgery. Mostly I was worried about over-using it and causing damage because I didn't hurt much. Hope all goes well for you!

Glad your surgery wasnt to painful. i had a carpal tunnel release and they removed the trapezium at the base of the thumb. (surgery removes a small bone (trapezium) at the base of the thumb, and rearranges a nearby tendon to serve as a cushion for the arthritic thumb joint. A portion of the damaged ligament is also removed and replaced with a piece of your wrist flexor tendon.) my pain mostly from the surgery on the thumb joint.

yeah, but I would think hand surgery would be worse since the hands are more sensitive than the wrist.

ah! Yeah, I just had the carpal tunnel thing, what you describe sounds more painful and much longer to recover from.

i was luck they did carpal tunnel by endoscope through small incision. But was told if they didnt see the carpal tunnel nerve they would have had to open the palm of hand to get it done. the thumb repair is painful, the percocet is barely holding back some of the pain. but i had exact same surgery on right hand in June. which with surgery and occupational therapy made it so much better.So i know it will take time to heal and a lot of therapy. its just going to be painful for awhile.

I had a surgery once I think they called it a lobotomy all I know is they stuck a wire hanger in my ear and spun it around a few times after the dr. took it out of my ear I could see and hear better I couldn't see cuz I was crying cuz it hurt so bad but once the hanger was out of my ear I could hear really well after that too but after all of that I still couldn't smell anything and that was what I originally went to have done was my nose hair trimmed up I was wondering y the Dr looked like barber

strangely I don't remember much pain, it was carpal tunnel on both hands however the relief of the carpal tunnel pain was so great the surgery wasn't a problem.
