Looks like the trident conversation is probably played out, but I think it would be more interesting if they made weapons at the low tiers not all suck.

Make the Legends tier 1 and not suck, and you have a broad based market for high end low tier weapons...

That being said I'm not opposed to more tridents being released either even though I own 2. The scaling weapons are shitty, lazy design anyways. It would be nice if there were better non-scaling weapons available to lower tiers anyways.

If it's not this one, then who is it? Is it an NPC or something else? If it's an NPC, maybe they are continuing Friendly Thursday (Or whatever day it's revealed) this year? But then I don't know what they'll do about the Cash Shop challengers for this year.

i don't know anything more than you do as to how they're handling challengers this year, i just know that

I wonder if unlocking him has something to do with Battle Quests and having done them, since apparently Reischen doesn't like Jim (Funny how Jim became a challenger the month after him).

Sadly have not unlocked him, yet. I went to the training centre and he didn't challenge me, hmmm.

So anyway, I can't wait to see who will become challengers this year. It seems at some point we'll get who said, but I'm not sure if that will be next month or not. Actually next month might be a Survival NPC, or it could be someone else entirely. Whatever happens, I'll be checking the directory for any early signs.

I just visited https://subeta.net/explore/train.php and it gave it to me. No idea what the criteria is, some other people didn't get it by visiting - I had all my pets finished with classes (green boxes). Don't think that has anything to do it, considering what other people reporting having.

[edit] All pets 10/10 hunger and happiness. No BQ's done yet today. ~650k exp on the active pet, ~700k total combined. Idk if any of that matters, just ideas.

I'm disappointed we're not getting Throwbacks this year, but I'll never complain about new challengers.

I'd prefer they stay as tier 5 and be some of the best weapons at that tier, it makes the level a milestone for people to strive for and feel accomplished when reaching it while saving up to get the weapons. Make them good enough to use for a couple of tiers after it. For tier 1 weapons have the best ones be really cheap and easy to acquire so that new battlers don't need to spend a lot to get started. I'd love to see Random Scimitar be great with the randomness being in something like some low level curses and blessings.
