I wish it was a 2 for 1 deal! I'm usually very thrifty and can be perfectly happy with cheaper frames. We went to a new place and I couldn't see the frame prices, so even with EyeMed coverage mine were 400$ for each pair!! I almost fainted when I saw the final cost!! My daughter's only came to 200$...I should have just picked out something different. :-P

I'm always doing laundry!! Wait til the kiddos clothes are bigger and you can't fit as much in a load. We were supposed to be sunny but we stayed foggy all day.

Yeah it's weird about caffeine. It doesn't affect Liz or Philip at all. Please god don't take my chocolate away too!! ROTFL!! So far chocolate doesn't bother me unless I eat too much too close to bedtime and then I can't fall asleep.

I spent so much time in Seattle when I was younger. I guess back then there wasn't as much of a traffic problem. Plus, I lived closer then too.

@ Cas You're very good at adding that twist to your HA :) as for 'normal' I think it's a misleading concept. There's so many different attributes of a person that it's super unlikely for anyone to be in the hump of a normal distribution on all of them, so everyone feels weird in their own way. 💙

Thanks. And I meant normal as in what society wants us to be, many people are obsessed with pretending to be normal or have a normal life. A job, family, home, college. Having a normal fashion or act like the rest of our peers. All what society deems the normal. For guys there is a stigma about what you need to be to be normal. Certain interests, masculinity and heteronormativity. Sports, cars, handy work, women, etc are all expected interests for men.

you're right, but everyone focuses on the ways they don't meet the social expectations and don't think much about the ways in which they do meet them. And hardly anyone meets every society expectation. That's what I meant.

I had a lot of time (mostly before I was 30) where I attempted to meet social expectation in certain ways that didn't really work for me. But on the other hand, I met others with enthusiasm because they did work great for me (like college attendance for example from your list).

That's good, you'll get over the extra expense and have really cute really good glasses!

If I eat any chocolate before bedtime it messes up my sleep too - but only if it is a lot. Like a slice of rich chocolate cake (my favorite vegan chocolate fudge pudding cake) will keep me up for a few hours. I think it is a combination of the carbs and chocolate which make me more alert though. I tend to eat things like toast with cream cheese or some nuts for my bedtime snack.

Ours are right next to our family room and under the master bedroom so I always hear them. And putting the clothes away is the worst part. I used to let them sit until we were out of clean underwear. :-P

Yes, it is dairy free cream cheese (not sure if it is vegan or not). It's made with almonds, and it actually tastes AMAZING. It is Kite Hill brand - I highly recommend it for people who can't have real cream cheese. It's the only creamy-dairy-like substitute I've ever found that is actually good and makes me feel like I'm eating dairy. If it were not so expensive I'd make a eggless raspberry cheesecake with it - it's my favorite non ice-cream dairy-based dessert.

Folding is tough cause every surface of my house is covered with dog fur. :-D That's my excuse anyway. About once or twice a year I refold everything in all of the drawers cause I mostly air fold and throw stuff in.

Since I can't eat dairy these days, I need to try that cream cheese! I bet it is good made with almonds! I've tried some of the fake hard cheeses and not that good. And raspberry cheesecake sounds delish!!

Yayyy for fresh paint!!! I need to paint our bathrooms too. I usually sponge paint bathrooms so it's not a ton of work.

Kite Hill. You NEED to try it -- it is amazing and will change your cream-cheese-less life forever. lol They also sell it in two other flavors, though I've only tried the original flavor. I also make my own flavor by adding a bit of almond emulsion and honey.

I just finished the second coat. We went from a warm almond-cream color to my foggy-blue color (which is actually not grey at all I realized.... lol). shrug Oh well.

I did sponge paint on my bathroom before I moved. It was a lot of work (imo) because I wanted it to be duck yellow. So I did three layers of sponge, one light yellow, one apricot orange and the other a bright pale yellow on top. It looks bright and cherry! How do you do sponge painting that is not so much work? Do you just do a similar color on top of the old one?

Yes the colors need to be similar or 2 similar colors of sponging. Once when i first tried sponging I used contrasting colors and it did not look good. There's also something we add to the paint. I think it's Blend and Glaze but not positive as it's been a while.

Planning on making black bean soup as soon as I have the time. Hopefully, Wednesday afternoon. :-)

I think it keeps the paint from drying as fast and the paint doesn't go on so thick.

Gotta have my soup in the winter! I've been making a zucchini one but getting bored with it. I put the recipe in our recipe forum. :-)
