You're lucky! We still have snow everywhere although the roads are about 95% clear. Round 2 coming tomorrow has me stressed. Ugh I hate it so bad!
Lol No doubt! Everything closes down here too. Schools were all closed Monday and Tuesday. We're getting more tomorrow.

We're getting more snow tomorrow then Sunday then Tuesday... sigh Very cute HA!!!
I hope you're right! it would be great if I have a destiny :D
I read some of your other comments and it looks like I might have to wait a while to read your book! :-D Cute HA!!
you might. But actually no, because you already read it. Or maybe you meant my next one! 😆
But I might write another one sooner than that. I just won't publish any of them till I retire. :D
I want to read one that is full length!! :-) As much trouble as I have staying engaged with fiction these days I truly enjoyed reading your mini book. I'm now reading/listening to a book called "Food: What the Heck Should I Eat". Lol And it's about food. :-P
that's my life right this minute. Food. What the heck should I eat? Probably leftovers, actually. :D
That's always my life! LOL Going to be snowed in this weekend so I'm making soup. I normally make some kind of bean or veggie but found a Tomato soup recipe that sounds good.
we have been getting a very slow snowfall since yesterday

nice and how long will it stay for you guys?

did you make the tomato soup? If so, did it come out as good as you thought it would?
I made chicken stew (my usual type) and it's great. I bought too many vegetables, so after we ate it for one meal, I cut up more vegetables (the remaining rutabaga, carrot, and onion) and added some water/vinegar/sugar/worcestershire mix in lieu of more wine, and some more seasoning, and just stirred it in to keep the stew from burning. And cooked it another five or six hours and added quinoa to soak up the extra liquid. It's going in the refrigerator soon to be eaten again tomorrow :D
I fully planned to make it today, and didn't. Everything is sitting out and I have to make it tomorrow as I'm craving it. Your soup sounds delicious! Funny you mention quinoa as I've been craving it. I think I need to make some and pour my soup over it. Yum!! And that's right you don't use broth. Hmmmm, some wine might be good in my soup. :-)
Right, I don't use broth. It's got too much sodium in the ones you can buy usually, the very low sodium bought ones taste kind of weird to me, and I don't like making broth myself... I just throw in the chicken with the wine + spices cause I'm lazy~ :D
I got some new spices... I like to throw so many in that they blend together and you don't really taste the individual ones. In this stew I put cayenne, paprika, black pepper, turmeric, cumin, dill, mustard powder, sumac, ginger, galangal, and some seaweed flakes (mostly for iodine since I didn't put salt in, so it's lower sodium).
Wine has mostly a sweet/acid flavor profile so if I can't add more wine, I make a similar flavor profile mixture with water, vinegar, sugar, and lemon juice. When the meat is slow-cooked in the wine, it adds a smoky and meaty flavor (umami) so I put in some worcestershire sauce to replace that. I do need a little saltiness too, which I usually use a dab of tamari and a sprinkle of chili powder for.
we're still so cold snuggles under more blankets

Us too, although you're probably colder where you're at. It's 2 here and for us that's rare for almost noon. And icy roads that local government won't clear. Seattle tries to clear their roads but in my suburb I guess they don't bother. It sucks. Hubs went to the grocery store as he's a guy and has to prove he can do it. My guess is his cigarettes are low. :-P
