I'm not part of the group yet! Fingers crossed though!
I really love GW2, and I usually play it in big spurts as content comes out and then get stressed when I need achievements that require groups (strikes, raids, fractals, wvw I am looking at you lmao). I used to be in a guild but I stopped feeling comfortable there, and haven't found a replacement since? :S That was like two years ago. I'm a train wreck about people. ugh.
I have not tried Yonder, honestly I hadn't even heard of it! I'm always on super limited funds, so I always bounce around on the value of a game and it's worth to be purchased. It took me like two years to buy 7 Days to Die because I wasn't sure if I'd get my money's worth and now looking at my stats it appears I spent a grand total of .005 cents per hour playing it lmao. Our switch is really new (we just bought it in February, thank goodness for small miracles) after saving for nearly a year to get it! So far we only own two games. Breath of the Wild, and Animal Crossing. My husband got it for Breath of the Wild but that also has collecting in it, so sometimes I give puppy eyes so I can run around gathering lmao I still don't know how the combat works very well and I'm constantly being attacked by ninja people. x'D
I can ping so she can help you join the group.
I haven't played GW2 for 3 months. I bought the deluxe edition of the expansion pack today since they are on sale for 50% off. I'm going to try and play for a bit this weekend. I haven't touched any of the achievements that require groups and I probably won't join a guild because I don't play often enough. There are multiple online games that I play, and I've only joined a guild in one of them, Destiny 2, because my husband wanted me to. One evening while I was playing Neverwinter, I had someone following me all over the map so they could send me multiple requests to join their guild.
The full game title is Yonder the Cloud Catcher Chronicles. I hadn't heard of the game before either until I saw it at Gamestop. It's $30 in the Nintendo Shop, but also available on PC and PS4. I can totally understand the limited funds. I buy most of my games used or on sale to save money and the only games I buy new are from series that I love, like Dragon Age, Mass Effect. or Animal Crossing, and even then I'm trading in games towards the purchase. I bought my Switch two years ago when ShopKo had a going out of business sale. I considered it an early Christmas present for myself. If I hadn't got it then, I don't think I would have one yet. Breath of the Wild was the first game I bought for my Switch. I've played it a little bit, but haven't made it as far as I had on the Wii U version. My husband only plays Mario Kart or Smash Bros. The next game I'm wanting to get for the Switch is Ring Fit Adventure, but it's sold out everywhere near me.
thank you for the ping!
hey, we'd love to have you! i'll be sending you a smail (:
Thank you so much for the invite! I've posted an intro and will probably join the discord server tomorrow when I'm feeling a little better :)
Sorry for the slow response! I was dealing with some health stuff, which is mostly better now! I hope you were able to play this weekend and had a good time! I really love the latest expansion, but I'm also a sucker for desert cultural type stuff! There are some guilds that let you play even if you're super casual, but I haven't found one I felt safe in. I find a lot of them kind of get... real adult, real quick, and it makes me uncomfortable :S
I also try to buy most things on sale! I don't usually buy used (but that's because I get mostly digital copies of things and most games I play are PC games now!) If it's not on sale, I usually pitter patter about it until it is. That's what happened with the Sims 4. I wanted it for months, but only ended up buying it on their anniversary when it was only $6. I try to get games where I'll be able to play it for as many hours as $ it cost. So for something that is $60, I want to be able to play it for at least 60 hours to get my money's worth. x'D
75 some hours later, no sighing of a Dratini. I'm debating whether to keep what I caught, or to focus on my picks. I'm somewhat PO'd about my Nidorina, I caught her early on and has yet to level up to Nidoqueen. I may as well go mop the floor with the Indigo league, to hell with the Mega Evolutions.
Mystery Dungeon however is going to be much slower. I'm not good with strategy games, but the backstory I want to establish is worth it.
You're welcome!
No worries! I haven't been on my computer much since last week. I ended up working Friday and Saturday, then all day Tuesday and Wednesday this week. And some big storms rolled through, so I just turned my PC off in case power went out. Good to hear things are better healthwise :) I didn't make time to play last week or this week. My mouse has been giving me issues and I didn't want to end up getting frustrated at the game due to the mouse lagging and stuttering. It's going to be a while before I touch any of the expansion stuff as I'm still in the early stages of the game. I've never been big on joining guilds because I like going off and doing my own thing and I never know what to say in the chat. The one time I played with people in the Destiny 2 guild, I was the quiet one and felt like I wasn't good enough to play with the others, and that's the one thing that holds me back from joining a guild in any game.
I've gotten some pretty good deals during Gamestop's Pro Day sales but I try to buy all my games used at Gamestop. I like having physical copies of games (mostly for console) and my husband prefers to have digital copies since he mostly plays on PC. I've got wishlists on Steam, Origins, the Gamestop app, and the Switch, and some of the games have been on there for years. I think I only have one game on my Origins wishlist now since I broke down and bought Dragon Age Origins and 2 for PC, I first bought Sims 4 for PS4 during Black Friday, but I didn't find it enjoyable on console. then EA had it for free last year so I grabbed that and traded in the PS4 copy. I buy games that I know I'll sink a lot of hours into or play through multiple times. If I'm on the fence about a game, I watch someone else play it or read up on the game. I've never thought about buying a game that way, but it makes a lot of sense. I usually balk at the $60 price tag and play the waiting game unless I really want the game. I play a lot of RPGs, so it's really easy for me to get 100+ hours out of one game.
I've got another game that I'm looking forward to, Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Now to figure out if I want to pre-order the game or just wait for it to be released.
While playing Let's go Eevee with a niece, Ahkoum did something I didn't know she could do.
I'm mowing down trainers in Victory road, this one sends out a Gyrados which I despise. And I must've been distracted...the game made a move that I didn't order. She faced me first, and charged with such force that the waif was knocked out in one move. This wasn't the kind of one hit kill I'm used to seeing from her, this looked like a move powered by friendship.
At least it I work it into my backstory, for an event occurring much later on.
I saw Animal Crossing and was summoned on the spot
uwu Welcome to you.
Sorry for being an extremely slow and quiet potato. My mental health has just been declining like crazy. I'm working on it- but it's just a slow and quiet process. bleh.
Sorry to hear about the storm and mouse issues. Don't blame you for not playing when stuff like that is going on ToT I'm also the same way with group type events. Even if I KNOW the content I still feel like I'm doing it wrong and upsetting people OTL
Thank you! Today I will be hunting for my last villager. Wish me luck it doesn't take 7+ hours like the last one T_T (What're you up to lately in game?)
I'm also there rn. It's not easy, right? Don't be afraid to reach out if needed. Mine is doing poorly but I can listen.
asdfg Which villager are you hunting for? I'm currently burning my entire island down and moving everyone / and everything (for the 5th time) because I changed my theme again. It's costly haha [cries]
I'm very much still... nervous about sharing too much mental health information with people who don't know me, but I do appreciate it. Thank you ❤️
I had a large list of villagers I was after (about 30, which obviously I can't have them all haha) but I managed to get Antonio who was in the top 3 I was hoping to get :) Hazel was number one, but that's okie! (I have Sheldon, Tammy, Phoebe, Leonardo, Renee, Leopold, Bruce, Apollo, Victoria, and now Antonio :) They're all here to stay!)
My PC is on a battery pack but I still feel bad for it when the power goes out. I also live in a house that's over 100 years old and has questionable wiring in most rooms. o.O I'm mostly disappointed and frustrated with the mouse. It's a wireless Corsair Ironclaw that my husband gave me for Christmas, so I haven't had it for that long and it's always had some connectivity issues from the start. My husband got the wired version of it for himself and it broke last month, so I think Corsair's quality control may have gone downhill. I'm back to using a wired mouse for now. My biggest issue with playing with a group is typically me dying due to the terrain or mistiming a jump. I started playing Destiny 2 again a couple days ago, I remember how to make most of the public events heroic but I still worry about how the other players might perceive how I'm doing, like when I hide to regen health or die a lot. I avoid the PvP aspects of that game though.
Oh! I didn't mean to just write everything. I meant more like 'I feel like shit' and I'd post very funny Animal Crossing memes ❤️ !!
That's a nice list! As for me, I have Cherry, Cobb (both starters), Marina, Bianca, Prince, Rodeo, Wolfgang, Twiggy, Annalisa and Marshal.
So that's it...The "Elite Four" huh? Ahkoum and friends made short work of them. And the final opponent did valiantly to keep me working for the title. The story goes on, apparently...I won't bother with an experiment. I want the real one, and find me a female Dratini. Along with the 35 or so species still to be caught.
I must admit, I like how my character almost never reacts to any surprises or threats. Just like a Vioran Soldier would.
[edit] When did the 3DS come out? I'm asking because I just now got one, in layaway from a pawnshop. It does include a Pokemon game, Y...anyway, I'm just going to pay it off this week and find out what the fuss was about. Codename S.T.E.A.M is my next choice for this system.
And what fool luck! I found a new NGC style Switch controller for $2.81 at a Wal-Mart! It was a damaged package, so I wasn't sure if it would be full. But it is, must've been a return or open box.
[edit] Zapdos at least put up a fight. But for the sake of a full pokedex, it'll help. Them "legendaries"...the master trainers are a better challenge, even my Eevee isn't as strong as theirs. So a boatload of training is in order if I'm to progress.
3DS came out around early 2010's I believe.
Someone made an animated video of a gen 1 nuzlocke. All their Pokemon wiped the floor with the Elite Four as well apparently. 😆
I recently played some level of Candy Crush Soda Saga. The music in that game is lovely!

The next move is to look into Pokémon Y, I'm not familiar with much beyond Gen 2.
Well, I'll look up the specs of the model I put down. At least it's jet black.
Mopping the floor has been all too common as my team leveled up. As I recall, my Eevee was knocked out only six times. The last two during the league gauntlet.
[Edit] Y is...different. I chose Fennikin, named him Sunahara. I did not know knocking out wild Pokemon is a bad thing, so my forcible approach is not entirely favorable this soon.
