I'm not good with many games. I stick to puzzle, side scrollers, racing, some strategy, and some role playing games as long as it's not confusing or overwhelming to me.
Some of the time, I find a very interesting game and can play it but my carpal tunnel and arthritis get to me and my hands don't work as well as I want them to.
Probably not the best thing to do, but I need entertainment.

My collection relies on multiplayer to up the fun factor. But with this isolation and a lack of desire for friends and family to visit, I tend to keep my sessions short. Online play could work, but without enough money to buy a subscription its out of my reach for now.
I rather play alone if I can but most games are multiplayer now. In those cases, I try to get my hunny to play and any of his close gaming friends. I haven't gotten the courage to play with other people outside whom I know personally.
Money's tight right now, so I get that. My hunny bought a subscription for himself for the year before things got bad so if I should need the subscription for anything I'll just have to use his profile instead of mine.

I play alone, as default. No one I know could make a trip even when times were good.
As for paid subscriptions, I'm having to pick my battles. I prefer to stay offline, I feel there are only two kinds of players, noobs and noob crushers. I'm somewhere in between.
thank you so so much for the gift. The timing was impeccable. I was panicky about my future job (start date is most likely getting delayed.) But seeing the gift made me feel a lot better. It was such a cute gesture.
I am playing a lot of Animal Crossing now that is it FINALLY OUT. :]

I've heard of Animal Crossing but never played it.
I feel that this first day was smoother than Survival's first day this year!
Got a couple of errors but overall alright.

I've played it since the Gamecube version. It's kinda a niche game. It's also hard to explain without it sounding boring. LOL Basically you live in a town (in the new one, an island) and you befriend the animal villagers that move in. Tom Nook upgrades your house for you but then you own him money. Basically you just decorate your house, upgrade it, & decorate the town itself. You also catch fish and bugs for a museum to display. It's kinda relaxing and supposed to be slow paced. It's been one of my favorite games I grew up with including Pokemon and Harvest Moon. I guess I just like games with cute animals and nothing is super urgent.

I too like games with super cute animals. That's why I started on neo and eventually came here. ;)

- I would love to join Press Start <3 I have been playing video games since the Atari 7800 which was forever and ever ago, and I was very young when that came out. I play mostly on the Switch now.

I know Nintendo is releasing a new color variant for the Switch lite. a pink/coral one. One of the employees at the local Gamestop is convinced that they are going for a Spongebob theme with the colors.
For the Switch, I can give quite a few recommendations. Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon, Yonder, and Stranded Sails are farming/exploration type games that are fairly relaxing to play, as well as, Animal Crossing New Horizons. Captain Toad is a puzzle game with fairly simple controls. I played it on the WiiU, but I imagine the controls stayed the same. Forager, The Touryst, Cat Quest 1 & 2, and Undertale are some good indie games. I know Undertale gets a lot of love, I just haven't had the time to try the game out yet. Then there's Super Mario Odyssey, Luigi's Mansion 3, Zelda Breath of the Wild, Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee, and Pokemon Sword/Shield.
I'd prefer teal overall. Unfortunately, most consoles are sold out online / in stores where I live. Do you have the og or Lite version?
I have the original Switch. I held off on buying one until there were enough games out that I wanted to play. Two years ago, a store near me had a going out of business sale and I nabbed the console for about $260. I figured that was the best time to buy one because I hadn't seen it pop up in Black Friday sales. I like the teal one too, it's a really pretty color.
I was able to snag a teal Switch Lite at Best Buy before it got sold out. Also grabbed AC and Pokemon Sword haha. Seems like I'll have fun during this ... whole virus thing.
Hi! I'd like to join the group, please! <3 The concept looks really great!
