I think Splatoon is unique in this approach, even in the alternate co-op mode. Its a spin on zombie survival, Salmon Run. This is something I'd try with either my brothers or nieces. The downside is needing extra controllers.

But after making diligence on my tax free weekend purchases, and getting my balance confirmed. I won't be able to buy any games for a time. More important things need to be addressed.

I haven't put much time on Let's go Eevee, but I suspect that I'll need to progress to reach where I could encounter water types like Dratini. I want to delay the bulk of play until after finishing Soul Caliber III.

I won't know until I capture one to get gender, but I would be open to a male. It plays in my backstory too.

To accelerate the process, I've played in default settings. And choose randomly to allow for greater weapon variety in arena mode. I have no idea where I stand in the battle count, the last unlocks aren't detailed in the walkthrough. Whenever I finish, it will be marked by a large number of items. I suppose because lower difficulty doesn't present a challenge. But I do know AI is no substitute for a live opponent. I played at very hard to not feel shortchanged, but as the 2,000 mark gets closer my whims just blew out. The game doesn't care how I accumulate victories.

I dug around, and sources say all battles count, including defeats. Not much on where joke weapons put on the overall count. But the 2,000th could happen after I unlock all jokes.

[Edit] 8/29 I adopted a pet to convert to Steamwork, so in three days I'll have a Steamworks Ghostly.

Update- On 9/1 my Ghostly was completed. Next is renaming, and consider making genderless.

Oh, the minds of children! Last weekend I helped a friend of a friend move. His nephew was glad to see me, and my Switch. Well, during the five trips between apartments we played Puyo Puyo Tetris, and his enthusiasm was refreshing! Never have I seen a person so young be exited playing a game thiss simple and old. And he sparked my interest in this by playing the various multiplayer modes. In appreciation, during the last run I let him and his sister play all my games to entertain them while the adults accommodate the furniture and clothing.

These two have their illnesses, as I do. I was glad to give them a short time while they made a change in life. Their older relatives were very grateful for all we did then.

I have been doing relatively well. Playing a few mobile games and watching my hunny play Gears 5 a lot since they kinda did a pre-release. I want to play it myself but my XBOX Live Gold and Game Pass expired. So we're just waiting for payday.

I'm really anxious for Friday when Borderlands 3 is out. I'm hoping the build up for this game isn't all just hype. It's been awhile since I've been this excited for a game to be released.
