Ah, I see what you mean. You were trying to heal but it wasn't enough. What weapons were you using?

Short term I guess they could design/add new flavor mechanics, but eventually we end back up where we are now. I wish I had a real solution because without one it just amounts to whining. Which is a shame because there's a lot to like about battling as a thing to do here and it's rewarding for what you put into it.

Cronos for the stat boosts, Ether to generate things for him to steal, acorn bomb for the curse, mecha/blaster/soma, pquill/reviver. Tried different weapons - Natasha, Manifest - and swapped out soma for Drakkonis to try and stay alive. Still seems to be pure luck.

I think that’s part of the reason I like battle at lower tiers. There’s more problem solving involved. I can’t use this weapon so what do I do?

I don’t think we are talking about the same opponent. You are fighting Kain, the npc from defend and conquer right? Kain does not steal or freeze. The only thing he has is a curse that knocks out one weapon. Based on what I’m hearing, the problem is strategy. Kain does mostly fire, followed by earth, water, magma and ice - in that order. You will want Natasha to block fire. Earth is the second best thing to block. However, I chose to use Cronus for the boost and he does do magma damage. That being said, be prepared to block earth with scrolls when needed. Double blasting is good, mecha is good, two healers are good. The last spot I filled with a full blocker that I only used if I was cursed and my health was low.

Scrolls Aftershocks for infinite use or OC for higher heal. GOTF for extra heal, cobalts and SE for extra block.

I also used the bullets Natasha generated for extra block. After battling him enough times, I was able to tell when he was about to use the shield with the 1 weapon curse and would use a bullet to give me extra block when I could only use 1 weapon.
