The Owl and the Snake" by Poppy Wheezle

Alone at night in the frozen forest deep, A young little ermine searched for her food, Though the woods were snow-buried, all the creatures asleep, The little white weasel sensed all was not good.

She sniffed, then halted and her blood ran ice cold, She sensed strong feelings of malice and of hate, "How could this be?" She recalled tales of old, Of the Owl and the Snake, now her new fate.

"Little Darling," oozed the snake, "Have you come to see me? Have you entered my land to amuse and delight? My, you're so young (and so tender), I can't let you flee, You're trapped and you'll be in my tummy tonight!"

"You fiend!" Screamed the Owl from high up in her tree, "How dare you usurp my right to this meal!" You've stolen my eggs now you steal food from me? We'll fight to the death, my talons will make you squeal."

And so it goes. There is an epic battle, the owl and the snake devour each other in the first version of the song and the little weasel is disappointed because there are no scraps left over and she remains hungry.

This of course sets up the story for the next time Poppy sings the ballad as the owl and the snake return somehow to threaten the little weasel and they take turns killing each other off in some gruesome-comedic fashion. So far, there are over 60 verses to this song as Poppy makes up a new verse every week and he has been singing this for nearly 7 years now. It's a favorite of the youngsters at the Market Day Dance.

You are planning at staying at 409 achievements? There may be an achievement you get accidentally, for example I got "longtime member" recently, have no control over that.

I get sidetracked a little too easily some days. ;)

not funny !! i was 18 plushies away from the plushie achievement , and now they add 20 blob plushies !! grrrr 38 to go again lol

but they look cute !!

got today the 2048 achievment ! ($sings* and ...........another one bites the dust ............) one down in the game section again !! slow but steady i get them one by one :)

I suspect there are some I've completed but not claimed. They don't matter to me. Like those quest points...

1024 has been my best for far, too time consuming.

Spectrail is driving me crazy, trying to get a top 10 score.

- oh i remember that one ( i liked it ) but was only able to get into the highscore in the beginning of the month ( when they reset the scores ) so that everyone has a chance to get in that high score list :)

oh and i forgot one in my list above the once you pop a balloon have 22/100 wins so far ( but i like that one )

Oh I hate the balloons! LOL

buying some new foods almost 100 items they added ( grumbles ) before they where not edible and now they are !!!!!

also now that the treasure maps are all readable i have to read them all to my 6 pets first before i can turn the complete map in again !!!!!
