Yeah but still get to see my boyfriend then so kind of outweighs the fear lol
Things are good! Been busy with holidays and I have a new and better boyfriend than the last lol
and everyone else How are things?
I'll be going up later. She says she feels fine though [edit]So mum just called and said they are gonna let her go home :) I guess the tests went well. Surely she'll have follow ups to do and to look for a new gp but I'm happy.
you probably don't need my drama. Cute ha
Yeah so that's something to look forward to
Oh I don't mind, I hope everything is okay :( and thanks ^^
Okay so like 2 weeks or so ago we discovered a HUGE leak in the roof. thankfully we found a company to tarp it cos we had several days of heavy rain. Waiting on insurance to see if they'll cover it. Monday night/Tuesday morning, my 10 gallon broke. Lost 3 fish. Weds I had a pastry fiasco. Friday I had to nearly bully mum to go to the ER since her back pain was not getting better. They wound up admitting her. Her potassium was dangerously high--like one point below fatal kind of high. She was released today though so that's good.
lazy is good.
If you don't mind trading, I do need some of the lifelike scootle dolls you have (common, dusk, sun) ;)
I'm not a fan really of any of the foods. Turkey is...okay. It's just not my thing. I'd rather have a million other things. And that is a bummer about the difficulty you have eating at big meals like that. My mom was diagnosed gluten sensitive a few years back, and she's definitely not as bad off as you, but she has to be super careful. She finally found a good gluten free stuffing recipe this year and she was in heaven. She's missed it a lot.
I hate having to drive all over. I've done it for years and I am tired.
I'm sorry to hear your mom had to be admitted to the hospital - have they sorted out what's wrong? Also I sent over those items you asked for!
I love you lady and I know you're busy hugs I miss you and I hope things settle down soon for you!
Holidays are definitely busy times! I'm doing okay, I hope you're well ❤️
I just ate, but I want more. I am resisting a second piece of pie.
Understandable !
thanks :) she did get released today. Well her GP gave her medicine for her back pain and it has a known ability to drive up potassium but should have known. She went to the er for the pain and they discovered she was one point from a lethal dose of potassium. We aren't impressed with her doc.
dont resist :D
- Those scootles just keep going down in price and not moving. You are welcome to them! I've pulled all three from my shop. Is there anything else you need?
I think I'm the only person on this site who's just not into the scootle thing. I was excited when I got them because I thought they would actually sell for the price they were allegedly going for, but we're all still at the stage of playing chicken with the market because you can't price things cheap just to get rid of them unless you want to screw everyone else who's selling the item (thanks to the autopricer, which I hate--I like the GA feature that tells you what things are ACTUALLY selling for, but I do not like the fact that people can just autoprice everything at lowest price without looking at the price to see if it's insane).
I would have not been into the blob thing either, BUT I have a lilac blob named Nilaqa because one of the few positive memories I have of my mother's house in Charleston is a giant lilac bush I loved. I hope it's still there. Not that I'd go back there to look!
It's not so bad at meals that aren't Thanksgiving, with so much gluten in most of the traditional foods and big crowds of people who don't all know exactly what they put in what they brought, or who never considered (because they don't have to normally!) whether it was OK to use butter or mayo that other people had been using in a recipe as long as it wasn't spoilt or very obviously contaminated with a food that didn't belong in the recipe.
I just remember that the last time I went to a big Thanksgiving, some people were kind of upset that I was annoyed that people swapped the knife for the pie I made with the other pie knives at a party even though I had told everyone that the pie I made was gluten-free.
(It was also very popular. I did want people other than me to eat it. I just wanted them to not contaminate it! It was a pecan pie made with the Whole Foods GF crust--because it's so good I don't feel I could ever improve on that crust--using 2x the normal number of pecans because that's how I roll, maple syrup because corn syrup is nasty, and seasoned with a little bit of pepper in addition to the usual spices and a shot of Jack Daniels because that is ALSO how I roll. I don't drink a lot, but I put JD in all kinds of food because it's good.)
I always made stuffing from bread cubes, so I figured if I ever wanted to make GF stuffing, that's what I'd do. But I make up half my own recipes as I go along anyway.

How've you been?
Oh man, I'd be livid. And also warn them that things like that lead to lawsuits -_- I'm glad she's out at least and I hope they can get her better meds that aren't so risky.
That's plenty honestly ❤️ Trade Lot
I have terrible luck with the raffle. I'm just trying to collect them all haha. I do think they're super cute though. I must admit, I use my GA pricer when I bother to price my shop. I just cross my fingers nobody is being ridiculously cheap on something trying to snatch them up. Eventually, most of the lifelikes drop down to super cheap so I never worry too much about them - I don't even sell them anymore tbh, I just stick them in my vault and trade them in whenever I get 5.
Yeah, it's definitely easier to navigate being gluten free when it's not a big group meal like that. Especially when people don't think about how it could affect you =/ I wish folks were more considerate.
My mom did her stuffing with GF cornbread. Also I'm gonna tell her the pie crust from Whole Foods is good, because she misses the hell out of pumpkin pie!
