I’m exhausted. Woke too early (thank you Amelia), then went to the discount fabric shop and spent well over an hour look at fabric, then another 20 minutes paring it down lmao. Then Joan’s fabric for accessories and stuff. Mum bought me an entire bolt of stabiliser and I’m very excited. It was 60% off. I am so tired and hurt though. Totally crashed mentally when I got home and put the oven on and timer but forgot to put the dinner in the oven LMAO. I’m currently washing fabrics now. I always wash first thing so they smell better, shrink if they are going to, get rid of dust and all. If I don’t do it, then I won’t remember I didn’t.

That could be an idea too - I wonder if I've got enough fake fur left over to make another vulture.... ;) I'll take some photos before we head out this afternoon (just in case the cap gets messed up and isn't looking good enough to feature on my blog laughs) ;)

Aww at Amelia deciding you need an early wake up call, but the fabric and accessories shopping sounds like it was worth it!! That makes sense on prewashing the fabric first, as once it's all put away you know it's definitely ready to use ;) Whoops on dinner not going in the oven though - what did you have in the end? ;)

I think I have some blue fur left over, but a blue vulture with purple stars might look a little.... odd :P It's only a basic looking cap on the outside (he chose navy blue polycotton), but I added some blue bias binding with white stars for the inside, just so it livened it up a bit.... and also used the same for the self-covered button on the top :D

Exactly like that kind of thing. I love knowing I've got something cute. Like sometimes the inside of my shoes is pink or a cute color and I'll know it is there and be happy. Some flip flops come with designs on the feet but you only see them when you are not wearing them. It's nice to know they are there though! :D

OMGOSH I love your use of the bookshelf! Your HA is sooo cute! :D I love it! It sounds like you had a full day! That is so clever to wash the fabric like that. It's also funny and sad at the same time that you got all the things ready for the dinner but forgot to put it in the oven. I have done things like that, especially while under the influence of a migraine or sleep deprivation/tiredness. I will put the milk away in the pantry cabinet or trash or a measuring cup or a glass bowl and spoon in the trash. Then I realize they don't belong there and have to put them in their proper places. xD I hope you were able to get some foods into you before you fell into exhausted yet interrupted sleep. hugs

We had a great time at the car show today, despite the weather (April showers.... in June :P including torrential rain and hailstones, with some sunny spells as well). A lot of the cars left early, but I was able to get photos of most of them ;) And considering that I wasn't sure that I'd even be able to go today (it's a long walk to get there, and I have to feel I can cope with the amount of people there), it was a success :D

And you said you wanted to see Dad's father's day present (if you drag the pics to the address bar, they should show up a bit bigger).... The bias binding on the inside doesn't match quite as well as I'd hoped, but it livened up what was going to be a very boring navy blue cap :P

That sounds like a great book :D Thankfully most of the stuff in the bag was ok - my wallet has a slight pink tint to it, but that isn't the end of the world. The programme booklet thing showing which cars were at the show got wet, which was annoying, but we're trying to dry the pages out (got sheets of kitchen roll between the pages to help dry it all out). The bag is still wet now, so I think that might take a few more days to dry out fully! 😊

That black car was from 1931 - I think there were a couple that were older than that, but it definitely was one of the oldest there :D

Thanks :D It was a 4 and a half mile walk in total (there and back), plus what Dad reckoned was a mile walking around the show itself (google won't let me measure the distance on their map, because it's not on a road :P so that's guesswork on the real total distance) ;) They also had modern supercars, but I'm more a fan of the older cars than those new ones ;)

:D Yeah, I had the plastic 'rain coat bag' that came with my camera, but that literally is only big enough to cover the camera case, and not my main bag! If I don't get as far as making a waterproof bag for next year, I'll try and remember to take a few plastic bags to put the events programme and anything else in, so it makes sure they stay dry!

(Everyone see the bottom of this post to check out my fairy garden! My mom, sister and I made it/created it this weekend. We've spent months gathering items and bits of things here and there to make it happen. My dad made the redwood garden boxes that the fairy garden sits in (which you can't see as well in these pic) and today/this week he is going to work on some other pieces/boxes for me to use for height and such. :D I am excited!)
