I had some sew-in press-stud poppers before, but they don't tend to stay attached (I think my hand sewing skills still need working on!) 😊 I did eventually manage to get the eyelets in without too much trouble - I just had to take 3 attempts at each one before they actually went in fully :P Is it still feeling exciting, or starting to get a little daunting now, figuring out what furniture and everything you're going to need? ;)

So today I went to pet smart and got fish for my ten gallon and a couple of plants and wee bridge. Here are the tank pictures.

Whoa, those tanks look incredible! The fish look fantastic, and the decorations in there really liven it all up! That's much more interesting-looking than the set up we had for fish before ;) Niamh doesn't seem to be overly interested in Valentine's day - RP-Paddy is a lot more into it I think ;) hehe I couldn't resist :P I was originally looking for an outfit for Niamh, but once I found those boxers, it had to be Alfred's turn :P

that was fantastic layering! :D I love the magenta valentine's look you've got today too :D Mum moved Sparky's basketball toy to the opposite side of the cage yesterday, so he could have his treat stick by a lower perch (he's eaten all the top of it already). He sat with his back to the toy for an hour before he remembered it's one of his favourites :P

Was the furniture provided for where you are at the moment? I can imagine you dream of different colour combinations for the walls, and where the best place for the bed will be ;)

It came with most furnite for sure. I have used my own bed. but the couches, tables etc belong to the landlords. :) I added some shelves on my own and stuff. That is about it. :)

hope you feel better. lots of running around for me. had to go to the store and enlarge a pattern I had, then return the plant mum got me for vday--then go to 3 other stores looking for another plant LOL. didn't get home till like 5

Sorry for the late replies, the last few days have been hectic and rather painful. I think I told you both at the time, but about a week before Christmas, my car broke down on the side of the highway. When my husband came to pick me up, I opened the door to get in the car. At that moment, a tractor trailer truck passed by, and the force of the wind it created blew the door open and it hit me in the face. It hit me hard enough to knock me over. For about two weeks afterward it was painful and sensitive, but then it went away and I didn't think much of it. Then about a week ago, I must have been clenching my teeth in my sleep, because I woke up with pain in my teeth and in my face where the door had hit me. I went to the dentist on the 14th, and he thinks that when I was hit, I fractured a bone in my face. =X He recommended getting a mouth guard to keep me from clenching my teeth when I sleep. He said that the bone is probably still healing, so the clenching aggravated it. He thinks using a mouth guard will help and allow it to heal, but he said that if it doesn't feel better in 2 weeks, or if it starts to get worse, he will have to refer me to an oral surgeon. Luckily, the mouth guard seems to be helping, because my face doesn't hurt as much today. Anyway, sorry for the long story! Just wanted to let you both know why I've been a bit out of it lately.

Awww that sounds like a total nightmare! I hope the mouth guard does the trick, and you don't need a referral! Hopefully that'll also be an excuse to have some nice comforting soups & things that don't need too much chewing, so you aren't biting too hard during the day either squishes

What's the jumper you've used today? Those peachy colours look fantastic, and I love the way the little critter is trying to catch the swirl :D laughs It'll be interesting to see how his colours change once he's moulted - Sparky's colours got way more intense ;) Sparky tends to be really quiet & almost sulking when he's moulting ;)
