Well atm Subeta is better... But I played Neopets every day without fail for 7 long years so... It's hard to choose.

I was totally into Neo too! I'm so glad told me about subeta!! And the advertising there is beyond annoying! So what's your favorite part of subeta?

Well, the ads worked if you think about it. Subeta should have non-intrusive ads.

My favourite part is the amount of achievements. These are what really measures your skills and determination in this game.

Thats weird! I don't get ads on subeta. Even without a gold I don't think. I'm kind of lax about achievements, but I know they're important to many. My fav part is wardrobe but i dabble a bit in everything here.

I mean Subeta should have the ads Neopets had on their beginning: Inclusive inherent ads. Back in 2002-2004 Neopets would add ad areas to the game, as well as ad rewards and the like. They would be masked into the game and that worked perfectly and earned them millions. Subeta could very well do the same.

The wardrobe is pretty well done, but they focus a bit too much on it. We need more games.

heh. I was really lucky, they used to have "cults" when I first joined subeta (they no longer have them) but I joined up with an "adults only", and the people on there are VERY friendly and helpful. made friends almost immediatly.

FlyingKat and Diana are like that. and every one on this thread have been AWESOME and friendly. If I've ever had a question, some one is usually here that can help. (or at least point me in the right direction to find the answers)

You might also want to check out the "Daily Item" thread. They are pretty friendly and they always have an item (in the first post) that you can get and try an outfit in your wardrobe.

, that's smart (not spending on here, to get REAL stuff) heh. i did spend 500csc to get the waist wrap from the bonus weekend. i might spend another 5 and put the second wrap in trades to get the second item. but that will be it. heh. my girl called me the day after i order that big amazon order, asking for money. :( she knew she was going on vacation with her boyfriend, I would yell at her, she should have SAVED money to do it. but considering she's like most of us and living week to week, :( well. the mom in me won't do it. heh. but man. i REALLY want to say "I HAVEN'T BEEN ON A VACATION IN YEARS!! I've also been combing the forum, trying to find all the threads that will help you learn stuff. I've got a good start on places to go and directions on "how to's" hopefully those will help you.

My Neo account is 12 years old (batgrl988) but I had another account before that one so I watched it evolve too. My fav part was the Battledome when you could fight other players and looking for secret avatars. Keyquest was fun too. I don't think the games here will ever be much better cause the site is owned by a person that started it when he was a teen so he doesn't have the backing of a large company to develop the higher caliber games. When I need to get my gaming fix on I play on Pogo. :-D

And yes the shoutbox is a mess. To me it seems no one really talks to each other there. lol

Neopets had pretty good games too even when they were a small company before Viacom bought them. Ice Cream Machine comes to mind. Coders nowadays can do amazing things. If you really compare websites, Subeta is the more modern of the two websites: Wishlist feature and item preview is far too good.

I want some ice cream-- anyone have any peppermint ice cream?

I am not even in the cold freezer zone and I am ready for 80+ temps. lol I was able to wash my dogs a few days ago because the temp rose enough so it was not too cold, but they were still shivering. Luckily they don't have t endure it for very long. Last year we never rose high enough in temp to wash the dogs outside so I had a struggle doing it in a tiny single person shower (the kind that are like square 2 by 2 boxes - worst tiny person standing shower ever. We didn't really fit so water got everywhere. I am glad to not have to do that again so far. :P

Now, that's not good to have. You need to have a thick skin. Altho it's true that you shouldn't be around people who don't like you.

Speaking of wardrobe... Do you know a preview clothing website? The wardrobe is nice and all... But it mistakes eyes and make up with glasses, and hair with hats. I wanted to find eyes and hair for my avatar. But I can't find a place to check.

Did you have ice cream? I always save mine for a late evening snack. I eat a Yasso frozen yogurt bar every night. Yes to me they're ice cream!!! :-D Making HA's is the best escape ever. I think it's my crack. ;-)

I don't think I've ever seen peppermint ice cream. It would be Liz's favorite, especially if it was pink! lol She usually goes for chocolate chip mint and she only will drink peppermint tea. [edit] I couldn't live without Subeta Lodge

Peppermint ice cream usually only comes out around November and December. It ALWAYS sells out really quickly. It's usually a white peppermint flavored ice cream with swirls of pink and green peppermint 'syrup' and chunks of peppermint pieces (it does look pink and there are some brands that are pink). It's so heavenly I could eat the entire thing by myself in less than a day! LOL guilty face There are several brands that sell it but my favorite is Slow Churned Dreyer's Ice Cream (Edy's brand on the east coat I think). Here is a pic of their three flavors that are limited edition: peppermint. I have not tried the hot cocoa flavor but I did eggnog and did not enjoy it that much even though I love eggnog. it also comes in other label colors -- one is yellow but the same brand. Off brands, like safeway select (not sure if you have safeway stores or not) and such are really great as well though! Safeway select is usually white colored ice cream, the one in the yellow container is usually white but the pink container one is usually pink ice cream.

You can also make this ice cream on your own/at home if you want (it's on pinetrest). Mint and peppermint are among my all time favorite flavors as well.

[edit] Another thing I love is dark chocolate peppermint flavored oatmeal cereal. You make regular oats with cocoa powder, a little bit of sugar and after it gets to a boil you add a couple drops of peppermint extract. You add more sugar if you like it sweet and less if you like it bitter. It's HEAVENLY. I like it bitter so I use dark chocolate cocoa powder but you can easily just use regular cocoa powder for the same flavor.

ha! , NO! i didn't get my ice cream (and i used to eat it at night, but now i drink wine, and i don't get that drunk any more, that ice cream goes well with wine. lol) i didn't get icecream cause MY AMAZON ORDER CAME!

hahahahaaa and the kimchi came with the gochujang sauce! (and NO! it does NOT taste like sriracha) now i need to go through the 50 recipes or so that i saved the other day, and see which one i want to make! hahahaaaa do i want a 'soup' or do i want a 'stir-fry'?

heh , it's surprising, now that i'm "old" (over 60) I found that I really don't care so much, what people think about me. of course. :D I never really cared that much, except that if people were mean to mean, or 2 face to me, I refused to hang around with them. lol my husband has an Aunt, that is like that (2 face nasty behind your back) I haven't talked to her in YEARS and we lived almost right next door to each other! lol

ack! :D my poor dog, , I NEVER give her a bath during the winter. I have found some dog clippers, that I'm going to get, next time I order a box from Chewy. I always shave her in the spring, then I can bath her without half her hair going all over the place. thank goodness she's small enough, and my sink is big enough, I can bath her there. no one way i can get on my knees any more. heh.
