from the bc mountains but we're so far north in the prairies we have almost the same weather, just the wind can be pretty extreme here

my eye appointment went well. glad for no changes.

well it fell from the 60's to the 30's today with wind gusts up to 40 mph. makes it feel like its in the teens. brrrrrr

Kind figured the alpacas might be towards the end! :-P But I'm serious about visiting some day. I'm hoping to take a southerly road trip this summer! I'll find out then if my co-pilot (Liz) is up for travel. :-P

I am a bit better as our weather clears up. I did some packing until my body was like, nope but it thanked me for laying down. Lol... I got my section 8 paperwork signed and waiting for approval for a voucher.
I am getting so excited for my own place, I'm bouncing off the walls. Its a long story...

[Spoiler] okay so what happened was I had my own place and I had my rent covered so that I only had to pay a small percentage was just what I could afford then a friend had asked me about 6 years ago if I would move in with her and I debated about it and went ahead and moved in with her it was a big mistake because she took advantage she was wanted me to move in so I would take care of her during her knee surgery as soon as she was done she pretty much just flaked out and I was left without a place to go so I moved in with my best friend which turned out to be a big mistake because my best friend was actually very manipulative and abusive so I had to go through a manipulative and abusive relationship and quickly move out of that into a very tiny room with all my stuff in storage at my grandmother's and trying to survive with another roommate so being able to get my own place and a nice place that's back to what I can afford is a blessing

Needless to say I am very happy. It will be 30% of my income and utilities included. Which is a must for ac here. It gets up to 120 in dry heat. And the sun gets intense. So since the heat ails me ac can cost about 50-75 dollars monthly on the electric bill not including normal electric price. And also like here they have swamp coolers, its just not cool enough. My new place has ac. Its also two bedroom so I will have an art room. Yay! [/spoiler]
