That sounds like so much fun! I wish I had time to get the stuff to do one at my house for Christmas. Hopefully I remember next year :D

My dad's side of the family gets together for lunch for Christmas. My favourites are ragou (a type of meatball stew, grandma's recipe), well made mashed potatoes, tourtiere (a type of meat pie), and turkey. Of course we also have some veggies & dessert, but those change throughout the years. Some years they mess with the main meal recipies... shakes head no no no, if it's not going to surpass the original taste then just don't mess with it! ;)

My aunt makes a mean roast beast...er...beef :) Seriously, that thing is humongous! Besides that, she'll make candied carrots, kale, sweet potatoes, and biscuits. And to top it all off....Asti! Can't toast properly without the bubbly. ;)

Every year when we travel to visit the inlaws, I am responsible for making rouladen. It takes a long time to assemble and cook but everyone loves it so it has become a tradition with us!

Christmas morning breakfast! New potatoes, sausage, eggs... really, it's just a normal breakfast, but it tastes better because it's Christmas morning.

My mother's lentil soup! It is my family's traditional food on the 24th and 31th. Tastes a thousand times better on christmas than the rest of the year :o

Chinese take out. I don't do the holidays so I'm not cooking, but there's always one small, local business open on Christmas day that's happy to see you walk in: The Chinese take out place!

Being away from home this year is making me really miss all the traditional Christmas foods I would normally have :c So I am going to say that my favourite Christmas food is probably anything containing vegetarian bigos/sauerkraut stew
