congratulations on the house!! Sending you lots of pleasant homeowner vibes and whatnot ~~~~~
Wife and I are spending Thanksgiving with her sister and family - I'm not ready for the holidays they snuck up on me!!
: Congratulations on being a homeowner! Perhaps the sounds are The Welcome Weasels” bringing you cookies!
Has anybody heard from Greenrowan , specifically in regards to WWS?
nope have not heard but THanksgiving yo! travel n stuff... Congrats on house...
gas stoves take a little bit of adjusting but depending on the age of the stove and how well it heats you might experience a quicker cook time. Just holler if you need help. :)
We went to the parade down town and it appears that after nearly 70 years of hosting this parade whomever is in charge over looked the finer details so not only were they lacking general information on how to get to the parade they lacked information on parking, where to view and or how to get back to where you parked. Don't get me started on the rudeness that is Houston. People had their children on their shoulders and or their phones in the air so that meant that anyone behind them were shit out of luck for viewing and of course being shorter (even with boots) meant I saw absolutely nothing but the air balloons... We didn't stay, I couldn't deal with not being able to see for starters but then people were leaving and coming back and it was annoying to deal with. Never mind the woman who walked by with a tray of greasy food almost getting it on me and several others. Anyway, we left and we spent 40 minutes or so looking for our parking garage. I was alright for the most part but I had to stop some because my chest started hurting... Overall, I'm just so done with this town and the people in it. There's nothing here for me. I just need to find a solution and make a move.
We're home but I'm in a foul mood. I have a feeling I'll drown myself in booze today. Who cares. Turkey is in the crock and in a while we'll make the sides.
And of course someone is blaring their music and I can hear the base coming in and it's driving me up the wall...
To top it off, sirens. Sirens going off. Ugh. Over it.
Ugh that is so disappointing of a holiday parade. One of the reasons I never bothered to even try to go see the Macy's Parade in NYC when I lived there. To many people and to much rudeness.
I had my one best friend over for Thanksgiving dinner. I cooked. Neither him nor I have family really any more. SO we are each others family for holidays like this. We get thru them together. We would have invited our 3rd, but she HAS her family (they a bit close and its all kinda odd none of us get it but its not us...She has always lived with her brother and his gf/wife and their kids. Or with her mom and dad. OR all of them together. In the 10 years we have known each other she lived alone for all of 2 weeks before the family moved into where she was.)
:*
!!!!! EXCITING NEWS!!!! WHERE'S THE REPORTERS?
I'm stealing 's THUNDER!
GUESS WHO'S BABY WAS BORN!! hahahaaaaaaa
(and didn't the old witch say he was going to come late?)
hahahaaaaa
heheh Silly Witchy most of us know already! because of FB
...I didn’t even know you were pregnant....
: wow. So sorry to here you had such a bummer. And while alcohol has many therapeutic medical qualities, make sure you consume vast quantities of high quality alcohol like Jamison Irish, Makers Mark, Tito’s vodka(handmade in Texas!!) or Ginlivit Scotch, because their purity is such that you are less likely to suffer the day after.
Welly made me a Gin and Tonic with a twist while we ate pie and cookies and played games last night. It helped me get through both Jacqueline’s and Aya’s emotional meltdowns and dramatic hystrionics. (Aya is mute, but when she gets emotional, she rages and throws things. Welly is the only one who can talk her down.) What would Thanksgiving be without some family drama and booze? Boring?
Watching your adult children make complete asses of themselves from time to time is always a great excuse to keep the liquor cabinet well stocked (not just for me and Weldon, but for them too). I thought that Jacqueline was just being petulant that she didn’t get a drumstick and peas because her husband took the last scoop. She pouted all afternoon and made snide cutting remarks at all her brothers, sisters, kids, (and parents) until Luna took her into the bathroom and slapped the shizz out of her and told her to get over herself (weasel psycho-therapy typically consists of a smattering of medically-approved physical violence). After that was when we all found out that Jackie is in her first trimester with her third litter, and that her mate, Peter lost his job. (I could just write books about all this stuff) This news was cause to come together as a family , surround Jacqueline , Peter, and their 11 children and count all our blessings. After all, that’s what Thanksgiving is for.
I hope you all had as wonderful a Thanksgiving with your dysfunctional family as Weldon and I did with ours.
I'm glad you're getting settled in ❤️ I hope you had a great Thanksgiving with your friend!
silly weasel girly. MERLOTS baby was born. (which i'm sure you know, since I know you're on FB also) :D
: NO!!! REALLY??? I was not on Facebook all this week. OH MY GOODNESS!!
Thank you for sharing!
WAIT WHAT? had her baby? Ive been on FB and I didn't see that. I did see that she said Michael is okay, but figured she knew it was a boy and they had already chosen a name. NOT that he had been born. (not fan of name...he needs new one) Has it really been 9 months?!?!?
Thanksgiving with my friend was good. He and I have no family really any more so we are each others family now. We have a 3rd good friend but she has family. So she never comes to our holiday.
Yes! Our son was born on 11/21/2018 around dinner time lol. Unexpected pregnancy events happened and well he had to be born. Worth it though cause he is so cute!
Of course you would be very excited! I have pictures that I can show everyone after j get home. I will be discharged today sometime. He is small, but that's what happens when being born at 34.5 weeks is like. I will tell the story after I get home. Today (Saturday) I am being discharged from the hospital, but he has to stay here for a few weeks to continue getting stronger.
He had to come early due to me having some pregnancy issues. His middle name is Kainoa if you'd like to call him that. He came at 34.5 weeks!
: Darling! I am so happy for you and I am glad that you both are well.
Omg I think I'd be like you can discharge me but I'm staying. I barely like to leave my pets at the vet without worry. I could just imagine how I'd be with a baby.
(Being made to do math .... 34.5 weeks. There are usually 4 per month. So um...4 times x equals 34.5. So about 8.5 months. Not to far from 9 months then.
:( , you didn't have to let win, just cause I said he'd be born late, you know. :D heheheeee
as long as YOU And HIM are OK! (grin. and Eric. was he in a panic when you had to go in the hospital?) :D
heheheeee
, I'd be like you. "I'm Not Leaving!" but then again. there's no to much you can do. especially if he has to stay in one of the little pre-me thingy's. (ha. how ever you spell it, you KNOW witchy messes up when she spells!) :D
, I was thinking it was because of everything happening in your life at the moment. the flying. the moving. etc. I'm just glad you were 'home' and not in the plane over the Atlantic. :D
(where is the new digs, any way? if you used to live in between Ft Worth and Dallas. Do you still live in that area with the house?) at least you'll have time to get his room together.
even though I admit, I usually had joe (first born) with me all the time. he rarely slept by himself those first months. :D :D :D :D
This has been such a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving Season! What with Andreas (BcSam) moving and getting married, then Lovecraft moving into her new house! and then Merlot moving and delivering her new son! WOW! I am so thankful for all of you and your friendship. Have a great weekend.
I'm glad you and your friend have each other, though it is a bummer that your other friend can't join you at any point. I'm glad it was good though ❤️
We're moving to North Richland Hills very soon. Closed on the house today and the renovations won't take to long either. Michael is also transitioning to a normal bed in the NICU probably tomorrow, so he may be able to leave soon as long as he does what he is supposed to do :)
