That's awesome about the new doctor! I'm doing good, about to head to bed cause I'm finally tired haha. I'm glad the cold weather is gone and I was able to use the dishwasher in a week, we had to conserve water for awhile.

How has everyone been? Things a little less freezey around earth? Has anyone been getting scammers calling them since it is around tax time here in Canada? I have a funny story about it for those who'd like to hear it!

Ahaha, don't get me started on the scammers. Last year I dealt with my first romance scammer, wasted a month of his time cause well, Covid. Really something else to deal with any kind of scammer to be honest. How was your experience?

I've been good, I started some new meds for nerve pain and tremours, I finally got a doctor who listens, so my hands have started to work a bit more correct haha. The only downside is the damn dizziness lol.

Okay, so imma tell the story, warning you it is a bit on the long side.

I can't say I dealt with a romance scammer before but yesterday I dealt with the whole 'give us your SIN or get arrested' thing (they have to have called me at least 15 times in the last 2 weeks).

The first time I answered last week I just gave them shiz by questioning everything they said, the dude called me difficult and told me to hang up in as many words, but I guess they didn't get the message because they called me again yesterday.

So since they did that I decided to have fun a bit at their expense, I picked up and answered with "Hello, what is this about?" of course I got the whole I'm an officer and I need your SIN because there are illegal acts blah blah blah so if you don't we will arrest you, honestly at this point I am over it and just want to waste their time so all I say "Is this about the human sacrifices?" the dude asks me to repeat so I do but I added on "I already talked to an officer about this, he said I was all good, it's voluntary, it is a cult thing." and all I hear the guy says is a very quiet 'What cult???' before he freaks out and starts saying he is an officer and that I know I am speaking to an officer right after I just give a 'yeah I know' he starts asking for the officers' name that I spoke to for the whole human sacrifice thing (i really didn't think he would stay this far into the call) and instead of giving a name I answer with "Now, I can't tell you that until you buy me a drink" and this guy goes from frightened to actual thinking about it so after he is silent for a bit i just say "I'm waiting" i get the waiting for what and reply "For you to offer to buy me a drink." This guy just answers with a weird sounding 'yeah' I just say yep and wait, it takes maybe a minute of awkward silence before he FINALLY hangs up.

And through all of this, my mom is laughing to the point I am worried she might start tearing up.

So keep this in mind, if they ever call you pull out the human sacrifice card.

bahahahaha! That's great! I don't get how they pull that nonsense on people but it works well enough so they keep on, unfortunately. Romance scammers are wild. They steal photos and create fake accounts and basically try to get into a relationship online real quick and their stories are always scripted. Even if it's not 100% you can catch them in their game. Just about every country has a list of common things they will say. I had never experienced such but I knew better when my gut was like this person is a little strange in their behaviors. Mind you I'm fairly open to letting people from all over be themselves but there was just something not right so I started asking questions and sure enough things started to fall, lol. Tried to get me to buy an apple watch and I cracked up and said yeah, no. Then went on to try and get me to feel bad about needing money. It was a mess but a lesson. It sucks knowing people are so lonely and wanting of companionship and love that they will not think twice. All I can say is anyone who does this isn't even doing it because they need to survive, it's all about materialism. Not that the other is any better, mind you. Ugh. just over all the nonsense. Everyone is hurting in one way or another.
