, I've made minestrone soup (first time) and a "portuguese stew" type of thing. lol the minestrone is ok. i REALLY need to start adding salt when i cook with fresh veggies/etc. and it's missing something. lol. don't know what (probably just more salt and pepper) and it's more 'stew' since i added orzo noodles to it (didn't have any ditalini noodles)

the 'stew' was ok. (gave most of it to my boy) it was good. but still not "what i'm craving" /ha! don't ask what i'm craving! I don't know!/ :D

today, i made up a balsamic italian dressing, and i put some over some chicken tenders to marinate. i'm going to wrap it in parchment paper with tomatoes and greenbeans. have a sweet potato on the side. (with some acorn squash i had roasted a couple of days of. and have to eat before it goes bad)

i'm thinking of making some homemade tomato soup. heh i'd like to make some chicken stock. but i don't want to have to clean up the mess.

besides. i'm waiting. i'm hoping to get some more things from amazon. (some strainers) to help with making the stock.

MY FOOD PROCESSOR SHOULD BE HERE TODAY!! lol i NEED some pita bread! i want to make Hummus! omg. i made it a couple of weeks ago, (i have an immersion blender. What A Hassle making hummus with that) and it was SO GOOD! i really enjoyed it! :D

I have a new soup that was also in that magazine I need to try :O It looks really good. I can’t remember the two main ingredients. Wanna hear something silly? On Sunday I made cabbage and egg soup and I didn’t realize till Monday that I forgot to put the eggs in it!!! LOL So I gave myself and my husband and our friends cabbage soup XDD It was like water and boiled cabbage XD I thought it tasted good but gosh if I remembered the eggs it would have been that much better. I am so silly sometimes XDD I don’t think I have ever made minestrone. I tried making gazpacho cause I love tomatoes but it was gross XDD I loooove me some hummus. I would like your recipe if you have one for that :O I have thrown less than 500 snowballs lol!!

well. i used Kale. (first time. i usually use spinach when it calls for kale) but the man actually brought me home kale, so i used it. :( I like spinach better. hahahhaaaa and i NeVER thought i would say that! as a kid, i HATE spinach.

but than again. my mother always used CANNED spinach. and i use FRESH. that makes a HUGE difference.

and giggle. i'd give you the hummus recipe. IF I HAD ONE hahahaaaaa it was another one of those "i don't know what i'm doing, but i'll add a little of this and a little of that" :D

1st. i only used 1 can of garbanzo beans (chickpeas) then i started out with sesame oil (which i THOUGHT was the "original" way to make it) but then i changed to olive oil. (and STILL i should have put more in) i used a little less than a 1/3 of a cup of tahini. (i think. when i finally looked a a recipe, i think it called for a 1/3 and thinking "i'm only making half' i tried to use half of a 1/3. heh. but i think i used a little more)

and i think it called for like 2 cloves of garlic, and i'm pretty sure i put in at least 4. lol (you know how i love me my roasted garlic)

it was a little chunky, because i couldn't get that blender to blend it all properly. lol or rather. i was to impatient to keep working the hummus from the blades and keep blending. ack. (that's when i realized, i need more oil) and i used my EVOO instead of the sesame

it's in my 'marriage contract' i'm not allowed to fix cabbage. EVER. lol (even though, i have made homemade cole slaw)

i'd love to make some Golabki (sounds like "gump-key" or 'go lump key') it's polish stuffed cabbage rolls or here

my 1st hubby and family were polish. and i made these from his mothers recipe. she thought i did a pretty good job (for not growing up with it)

but there's no way, the hub would eat it. and if he came home with the smell of cabbage cooking, he'd turn around and leave. (or more likely, bitch at me all night) heh.

Kale and spinach are hard to say. I like Kale in the right thing. Its great in soup, pasta and as fried chips but not a huge fan of it otherwise. Meanwhile I just cook up some spinach with some bacon and its mighty fine. My husband’s grandma makes spinach with cornmeal and eggs and its really good :O

That’s easier than I would have thought. Who knew its only like 4 ingredients. I always add more garlic than it asks for -.- I wanna TASTE The garlic!

Oh wow he hates cabbage that much? I made stuffed cabbage sometimes! Its sooo good!!! LOL Everyone does say it smells really bad but I never notice when I am cooking it XD

My husband will eat anything I place in front of him lol. Usually we agree when I royally messed something up LOL! I added hot sauce to the “cabbage” soup so maybe that’s why no one complained!!
