I am learning how to crochet for some time now C: I already did a simple stuffed octopus (it serves great to clean my laptop keyboard from dust lol), a scarf for myself (lol it only sounds simple, I missed 3 stitches, one per... line? and realized it to late to go back D: ) and now I am doing a hat to fit my new scarf!
And for the drawing, I've been drawing for many, many years, but I always did animals. So now I am leaving my comfort zone and I am working on human art, mostly. Next is my biggest fear of all - enviro art D: I have totally no space vision or whatever it's called and it's always looking crappy. But January is my month to try to push myself in that! :D
EDIT: And oh, I always soooo wanted to make a mobile game! I am thinking about it for almost 5 years now, but I never had time to just sit down and write all the gameplay ideas D: But I am certain, it will be about gerbils, because WHY NOT?
I would love to learn woodworking in general. It ought to be in my blood, my dad, grandma and great grandpa are/were good at making things with wood. I would also love to learn all things gardening and how to be self-sufficient...meaning I'd need to learn about water and electrical systems among other things.
Someday.
I'd like to learn how to concrete. I'd like to extend the slab on my patio and how hard can it be?..
I want to learn how to do my makeup better for cosplay reasons. I don't wear it day-to-day. I also want to relearn piano and sewing!
Came across your thread and I wanted to add my hobby goals. Like you I enjoy sewing skills and I have wanted to learn tatting since I saw someone tatting at my school once. I found a very useful book at a books store for many kinds of needlework skills. Its called The Complete DMC Encyclopedia of Needlework. Since it was written in 1884 I also found a free online copy here. There is more than one copy on this site and I love looking up old books there but if you like newer copies they are still publishing this book today.
Other than the needlework skills I would like to practice my rock climbing, watercolor, sketching, Japanese and learn Russian, Scribus (a free computer program), and Krita ( another free program).
Hope you have a very Happy New Year!
I want to learn how to sew and alter my own clothes, and I really want to improve my eye makeup skills. Aside from that, I want to learn to play an instrument, maybe guitar, and brush up on my Mandarin and learn Spanish. I would also like to improve my baking skills, but I don't have an oven right now.

Embroidery, woodworking, resin crafting, and programming. Maybe if I stop watching youtube videos of the first three I'll have time to actually try and put them into practice......................
i've recently started working with cross stitch, and that's fun, so i'd like to continue with that.
i really want to get the hang of embroidery, learn some neat stitches... in particular i want to learn to do flowers really well.
it's been a long time since i got to do metalworking but i want to get back into it really badly. my jewelry always turned out well; i want to make jewelry again.
i've been learning a few instruments - lute and violin. lute i'm having a much easier time with, if only i'd practice more regularly, haha - the only real problem i'm having with the lute is the fact that my hands are very small and it's hard to reach all the way across the fretboard to press the lower strings down, but i'm sure my muscles will figure it out in time with practice. violin is hard, but i like, get the basics at least. the problem is commiting to practice times.
i was learning klingon and i was doing really good at it... lmao... let's see if i can get back on that horse
I want to learn pixel art! I've been playing around with GraphicsGale and watching YouTube videos to get a feel for working in the style.
I'd also like to learn some coding, especially Python. That's another program I've been playing with - Ren'Py.
For more tactile arts I'm interested in knitting. I'd also like to learn to paint with watercolors - I've mainly worked with markers and pencils before making the jump to digital!
I want to learn crochet and needle felting! I can make simple squares with crochet, but I want to make small stuffed animals too
Lumi tree
sewing... though i've yet to sit down and try to learn how to do it! i'd also like to try my hand at pixel art bc i looove pixel art, it's so cute. animation is up there as well, lil animations (which i've started by using procreate heck yeah)
I would love to learn how to use watercolor painting techniques properly but I have yet to invest in any of the materials,,, maybe I will hop on Amazon. The sky is the limit, right??
I'd like to learn to crochet properly. I know the basics but I don't have it down yet. I'd also like to learn more art conservation. I'm a bit out of practice but it's something I really need to get back into.
I'd also like to learn to roller skate, does that count? I know it's not creative haha.

I want to improve my overall motivation. Does that count as a skill? I want to write better and not have this mental block when I have an idea. I want to learn how to cook. I want to learn not to be scared and take some risks with things.
I want to learn how to code, create digital art, animate, learn Norwegian, and creative write.
You can take one man's trash to another man's treasure but you can't make him drink it
Musing Query: Have you ever heard the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise?
The way to a bad friend´s is crooked and far, though he lives by the road But the paths lie direct to a good friend´s, though he is far away.
Right now, it's more of a far off dream, but I would like to go back to school(I have my cosmetology license) to get my esthetician license. I took a two week course when I was in school the first time, and I loved it. But I don't have the time or funds right now to do so. Having a family will do that to you Xp I also want to get better at makeup, specifically eye looks. I'm pretty good at it, but I can't seem to get vibrant cut creases or halos to stay electric, though I've never tried powdering the concealer before applying the colour
But just hobby wise, I really really want to start doing doll faceups. But funds.. I have none.

A new crafting skill I plan to learn soon is needle-punching--I have a (virtual) workshop coming up soon that a friend and I are going to attend :) I'm pretty experienced with crochet & cross-stitch at this point (although definitely not an expert), but needle-punch is something I've never tried before. I'm excited to hopefully have a cute pillow cover at the end of my first project, lol.
Another fiber-art type skill I'd like to learn is needle-felting. I have dabbled in it a little before (I made a tiny mushroom), but I've still not tackled anything more complex just yet. There are a ton of needle-felting tutorials online that are both fun and pretty relaxing to watch (and some of the finished products can look pretty realistic! It's kind of intimidating, lol).
