Awesome thanks!
I find this thread has helpful information for battling, and maybe they can answer some of your questions.
This is probably a really stupid question but...when training at the Training Centre, do you only get one point at a time...or is that just my bad luck?
Sorry for the super late reply! It's anywhere from 1 to 3 points, but it's random, so you never know! Most of the time I just get one point too. xD

Thanks for responding - I have actually managed to get some Auto training done this last fortnight and now have my little fella at Tier 3 so I am making my way up in the world! Haha
Nice! Keep up the great work! ^^

I have a potentially very stupid question. how do you autotrain??
It's in the training center
Find the pet from the list, select the stat and then choose the "Auto Train" button instead of clicking the "Train your Pet" Button.
It will tell you in small text underneath the button the cost and how many sessions you will earn.

okay that is where i remembered it being years ago...but since coming back to subeta I haven't had that option anymore!

Hmmm I wonder if its a GA Perk? I actually have no idea on that one :
Sounds like you may have custom CSS hiding the auto train option?
ohhh yes, I checked and I do! thanks!
I wish this could be stickied. =/ I'm afraid this is getting lost among the other threads. btw am going to work on this today and put those new topics through.
Please, anyone that is unsure about how to get into battling, help me improve this guide then! I want this to become accessible for everyone. If it's too wordy, I can fix that. But please help me, this isn't a guide for just battlers. It's for everyone, new and old to battling.

I think for me, even as a long term on again off again battler...the one thing that I still find hard to follow is what each weapon does, and how you know how it will do against opponents.
Like...Manifesting Weapon blocks water, but will it do anything else? Is it just for defense against water? And how exactly do you find out what all the opponents do?
But this guide has always been a great help for me, I will say that
Thank you for the feedback, Manifesting Weapon is an oddball T12 weapon that I'm more than happy to discuss! So yes it blocks 100 water, but it does have an attack, two attacks in fact. The way it behaves is coded weirdly. I'll try to make it clear as can be
(Attack 1) 14 icons, 12 icons, 4 icons, 4 icons, 4 icons randomly of Fire, Magma, Water, Ice, and Dark. (38 icons) This could be 14 icons of fire, or 14 icons of Ice. All 5 are randomized. *If the 14 and 12 icons are the same element (Fire for example), then there's four sets of 4 icons to include the other 4 elements, instead of three sets of 4 icons, so it would be say, 26 icons of Fire, 4 icons Magma, 4 Ice, 4 Water and 4 Dark. (42 icons)
(Attack 2) Small chance of doing two sets of 14 icons instead of 14 and 12 icons. Same rules as above. (40 or 44 icons)
It also has a chance to steal and heals 10%.
It's a water godly and it does really funky stuff. Because the attacking icons are sporadic and spread out across 5 elements instead of being a dedicated fire attacker for example, it may not be ideal for attacking. As a water blocker it does fine, but Sword of the Seven Seas I think has a bit more going for it as another water godly. But that's just my opinion.
As for opponents and figuring out what they do, well, I battle. I try to test everything. I'll use a 100% freezer to check for freezing capability or if it's disabled (if disabled, then I make note to not bring freezers into battle because it's pointless). I'll draw a battle out slowly to check for curses and blessings on either side, like maybe blessings are disabled on both sides. Or maybe healing is disabled when my weapons that have a heal aren't healing me. I look at the type of icons the opponent's weapons are doling out and make note of the most frequent elements. I also look at what elements they're blocking or not blocking. I read the battle text to figure out which weapon of theirs just froze me or potentially stole from me. The BAs do a good job at making it pretty clear which weapons are responsible for their actions.
Basically, I'm examining everything possible each turn and repeat battles til I figure out everything. From there I just either remember or forget and have to re-learn. did share a wonderful CSS they have that helps make notes of each challenger and their gimmicks, I will find the post and link it: https://subeta.net/forums.php/gotopost/65601674
I will recommend a suggestion to the BAs that perhaps this something that can be implemented officially though, because I feel it would help everyone.

Oh wow, that's a great explanation!
I have always been overwhelmed by all the little icons when it comes to battling, and looking at what each attack has done (both mine, and the challengers). I often feel like that lady in math formula meme trying to work out what has happened!
I think the UI could use an update somehow, but I'm not sure how it should be done.

I drew up something some time ago but don't have it saved. Might draw something up again though.
