Hi everyone!

As mentioned in the Announcement Board in this post, it's time to nominate some champions!

As a group, you will be able to nominate up to 5 champions to put their name into the Goblet of Fire. Champions will need to participate in champion-specific challenges, which the majority of which will be roleplay challenges. You will be able to assist your champions during the challenges on coming up with their solutions, however they will need to execute the solutions themselves (i.e. the roleplay should be written and posted by your champions only).

Some things to consider when choosing champions:

• Champions, once decided, cannot be changed.
• Champions must be ACTIVE during the tournament. There will be challenges that will be champion-specific, so your champions will need to participate in order for your school to earn points.
• A majority of the champion-specific challenges will be roleplay based. So choose a strong roleplayer!

Champions are NOT required to take on the duties Prefects normally do. They are not required to maintain bulletin boards, contests, etc. However, if you are selected as champion and would like to take on those responsibilities, that is perfectly fine! Alternatively, if your school decides to appoint a member that is not a champion to lead the group, or if you choose to not have anyone lead, that is fine as well.

Nominations for champions must be made by July 5th at 11:59PM. You can ping me to the thread here once the decision has been made!

There will then be a Goblet of Fire ceremony on July 8th to announce the goblet's decisions on your school's 2 champions.

As much as I'd love to volunteer as tribute, I know I'm not a strong RPer. Looking at our roster, I see we do have a slew of great RP folks though, so I hope they'll consider throwing their hats into the ring (or names into the goblet, as it were). c:

I will most definitely support our Hogwarts champions and participate to the best of my ability though! Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts and such forever!!

This is something that I would love to do although being relatively new I understand if I'm not a high choice :) I'll be posting a character in the roster later tonight and will support whomever is chosen! Let's see a clean game and hopefully a Hogwarts victory!

I'm going to submit Millie's name for consideration. I'm not sure what else I need to do?

Maybe we should try to set an internal deadline for all of us to put names forward (maybe Monday?) and then see where we stand and if there is any further work to be done!

Since I'm totally not in the running but love organization, I can keep track of our potential champions. :D

I agree, I think it would be a good idea to set a deadline. I think Monday at 11:59pm is good deadline. It gives 6 full days for everyone to see the post and to submit if they want to.

I always impress my boss by how organized I am. I use different colored pens to write my schedule down. She is always asking me to give her a color copy of it LOL

I wonder if it's too soon for us to have a "get to know each other" topic. :D

Oh, are we nominating other people? I thought with how big a responsibility it was, we would want to make sure people actually wanted to do it rather than guess!

I think you're a strong RPer and very dedicated to Wizarding - if you're interested, you should definitely put your character forward. c:

That's what I thought but of course you can nominate yourself as well. hehe I could give it a try, I admit it is a bit of a burden since the house is counting on you but someone has to do it. I just hope if I'm picked that I would do a good job. =D

You don't have to do it if you think it would be too much? I don't want you to feel like you're being forced into it if you're not interested, but if you are interested I'm sure you would do a great job.

My understanding is that we can submit up to five possible champions, not that we have to submit five possible champions.

I think it's more fun to have that element of randomness/surprise (makes it more like an actual Triwizard Tournament!) but I suppose if we wanted to take that part out, we could decide which two people we want to represent Hogwarts and only submit two names.

But like I said, I think that's less fun. If we have more than two people interested (which we do!), then I like the idea leaving it up to RNG magic. c:

well I hope we can submit five that way we don't know who will be picked. It will feel more like the goblet of fire is choosing for us =D
