LOL I just realized everyone has created new characters and I'm like "going as Millie". But now I'm not sure because she's 14 and it seems like everyone else is either 16 or 17

My on-line time is limited and erratic. I'd hate to let Hogwarts down by being away from a computer for several days.

haha I was going as Merlin but decided to play a new character given the fact that no special abilities can be used and he is too young to go as champion, still my character is 16, but I don't know if the age rule will apply. I can always make her 17. But mostly I figured it would be hard to play Merlin without him being himself so I won't used him for the tournament but yes for rp

Yeah, Millie is an empath. That's pretty easy not to use. I honestly didn't even think of creating another character unless I was placed in another school.

yeah at first i was only making a new character if I went to a new school but in the end decided to change it just for the tournament, I'm too attached to Merlin I won't get rid of him

It would fit my character to try, but I'm not sure I'd be able to commit as much as the Champion has to. If we'd need to reply daily, I don't think I'd have the time to do so :c

Sorry I didn't join in more the last two days. Got hit pretty hard with the norovirus. It's making it's way through Cali right now :/

Being online every day and participating wouldn't be a problem for me. I'm relatively new though and have limited RP experience. I do love writing though and have greatly enjoyed what I've joined in with.

The mention of other members being able to help and support our champion is rather vague. I wonder what we'll be able to do? Would it be helpful to figure out what talents we have as individuals and as a group so we have somewhere to start when the tasks begin? For instance, have a group that we know are good with riddles/puzzles, a group good at writing, a group for graphic design, etc. for pinging and brainstorming?

Things I could possibly be of help with would be: Riddles, puzzles, graphics, writing, HP trivia in general (books, not films). Please don't ask me to do anything math related or I swear I'll get our champion killed lol

I'm in the exact situation with the math LOL. I have a history degree. My motto is do your own math. I think we all would support and help each other anyway we can. A getting to know each other thread is a good idea.

Thank you :) I'm feeling a lot better today. Tuesday night was the worst of it as I got severely dehydrated. I wouldn't wish this on anybody! I think you're right about us all helping wherever we can. I might have worded that a little too regimented-ly, so sorry! I'm thinking more of finding our strengths so that when things happen we can say things like "Oh, does anyone know when so-and-so is on? They're really good at this sort of thing" Or maybe I'm just over complicating 😆

Glad to hear you're feeling better. It's horrible. I came down with it on a Tuesday night and I was out till Saturday evening. It was kind of funny, well not haha funny, but I went to the grocery store to get some more ginger ale and I almost had a panic attack in the chip aisle because all the different bags of chips were too stimulating. It's a rough bug for sure. I wouldn't wish it on anyone either. It just wipes you out flat. I found the packs of Propel that you add to water is really good with room temp water.

No, I get what you're saying. I think it's a good idea. I'll be honest, I'm not as quick with the spell names but I have the Harry Potter wiki page bookmarked, so I always use that. It's sometimes takes longer but it's a good resource to have

Oh my! I don't even want to think of going out shopping right now. You certainly have a resilience that I don't. I'll have to try the propel. Right now I'm just drinking water and bits of Mountain Dew now and then so I don't get caffeine withdrawals.

The Wiki is helpful! There's quite a bit from Pottermore and JK's original site that I still don't know off the top of my head. The books I know better as I've read them (all but the last one which I'm still catching up on) a dozen times. Access to the various info sites and knowledge of the extra non-book texts would be a handy thing for sure!

I love the Wiki. I refer to it all the time. Pottermore is also really good. We should compile a list of sources once we get started. That way they are all in one place and anyone of us can access them. Harry Potter Lexicon is helpful too
