a Shriek of Despair has an AP cost of 16 and is usable once. If you have the Shard and Vortex you could potentially last four rounds, even though the Hydragellos hits you at all your pet is knocked out of the fight.

With the Shard, one weapon, and an Inferno Scroll (AP 6) hit him once With the Vortex, one weapon, and the Shriek hit him twice (if the Vortex freezes him a low chance, you get an extra round of hitsies) With two weapons and a second Inferno scroll hit him a third time, and again the fourth time if hes' frozen (the Shriek has a high chance of freezing, but not 100%)

This will hit him harder than you have been, but probably won't get you to five million and you won't get the Core. The reason for doing this is because NPC Kain has promised (unspecified) rewards for damage-done. In the end though, many of the other prizes will be buyable from other users so if battling is not fun for you you might not want to do it.

I can loan you a Shriek and two Infernos, but don't have spares of the Shard or Vortex. The scrolls won't help you without them.

The shriek is once per battle or one use?

once per battle. There are no one-use scrolls that I know about, and I wouldn't loan you it if it was. This particular scroll is not one you can make, you have to pound it out of the Nightlady who comes around only once a year, at Morostide.

the Rainbow Vortex is a Cash Shop item, under weapons. It's weird that there are no Temple Shards for sale anywhere only one in Trades, Reserved. Sorry about that.
