When I was in alaska back in 1980, we had such strong winds that it tore down electric line, peeled the side of trailer homes like a sardine can. My Mom and 2 of my sisters, and I were living in an apartment of the top floor of a 3 story apartment building. The wind tore the roof of both bedrooms and bathroom, and on my sister and I's clothes dresser was a birthday card just sitting there, Like we had just stood it up on it bottom end. It just stayed where it was sat by my sister or I.

Hooray, I got the last of my three hundred Gelatin Gliders before they ran out! There was 64 left and I was all frantic clicking. It turns out my lowest tier pets can now also all take out the Gelatin Golem, so I got tons of Throwing Vials.

Perry got himself a new pyrex casserole because his old one got chipped. They now are rectangular and have glass handles of all things. I christened it today by baking us up some banana bread. My teeth are still hurting so no nuts, so I decided to put a little cardamom, pepper, and cinnamon. Yum! Now if my local grocery store would handle their bananas a little better....

There was a grey volunteer plant at the end of my hydrangeas and I was thinking it was rue or dusty miller or artemisia. But it bloomed brilliant orange today, it's a California Poppy.

Nice that you know the names of flowers and can appreciate them. My "yard" shares weeds and rocks equally. The domestics get taken over by the rougher crowd.

So your banana bread recipes sounds interesting! Could I have it? If so smail it to me please. How is the store mishandling the bananas? I like when the skin of the bananas get dark it makes them sweeter and makes the bread better.

I like to eat bananas that are suitable for banana bread myself, so I almost never make it. Either I buy way to many bananas because I shop hungry, or the bananas get bruised in a way that I don't spot and so they become uneatable fresg when they should be.

My banana bread is unremarkable if the internet is any example. Most recipes don't seem to do any spices though. I like cardamom and the store I get it from stocks Morton & Basset and a little bit of it goes a loooong way because it is so freshly ground, so really only a few pinches, and with the black pepper the same you want less of it than you'd put in pfefferneuse cookies. Silicon Valley used to be all orchards, and my neighborhood in particular was a former walnut orchard so I miss it when there's no walnuts in my banana bread.

It's illegal to do anything to a California Poppy, it's the state flower, so while I wondered idly whether or not to pull it before , it's there for good now. I used to garden for a friend's mom and she didn't know the names, and sometimes didn't know some stuff was weeds. I always had to ask her to stick around to make sure I was doing what she said because sometimes it was a real surprise what she thought was the most important feature of each plant or flower.
